Now i just need to GET there (every time i go into the beginning of Act III, so many mobs surround me) I'll have to try your abilities.... Also, why no companion (Templar, etc)? Cuz you could have gotten the Scoundrel with revive and a frost bow, ya?

Did it with roughly 1,7 mil on my Monk prepatch, wasn't too much of a problem. This is the real deal though:

Yes, those are all good options too, I opted against using a follower, because you can equip a templar with INSANE vit for cheap, and then he'll have like 60k hp, stun things for you, heal you, etc, he's a great distraction for elites as well (despite dying so quickly) I would prefer to do these videos without a follower, but it's a perfectly good idea to use them On July 10 2012 22:34 HaXXspetten wrote: The entire game is doable in under 500k if you know what you're doing ^^ Yes, although I never tried it, I do believe it, but with 500k you need to be very careful with what you use your money for. I considered using a lower budget, but then the AH episode would have been too long! Also, I wanted a budget that will do things "efficiently enough," as opposed to "doable," so that people don't get frustrated as much with their playthroughs (if they do choose to follow the guide) EDIT: +1 for krip video, he's a great player

It works really cheap, and you don't need AH sniping skills, noone else is shopping for most of this gear so the prices are low. I spent 3 million on gear, a bit more if you count the gems and follower gear but it is still quite cheap for how well it performs. It is also very easy to play compared to having to carefully kite so as not to die. Here is a small clip where I just facetank Ghom and kill him: Some more information for those who are interested in this build in the DH thread: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=336636¤tpage=115

It works great for me. Maybe you can add to the guide what you would do to spec a mercenary too?

Didn't want to sift through every page of that thread, rather have everything in one place as you have done here. Learned a lot from the first vid, great work! If you pay attention to the criteria he uses to select gear in the AH, switch out dex for int and you can do basically exactly the same thing. Everything except for chest (no +disc cloaks) and weapon/off-hand basically works the same way for a wizard. Get lots of int and all res, vit where it's efficient to do so, and otherwise focus on crit chance and crit damage. +AP on crit gear is nice, but isn't really necessary until you're out of budget gear and into awesome gear. Wizard skills are pretty straightforward -- any two of two of MM/AO/Blizzard, venom hydra, force armor, and either diamond skin and fracture teleport or one of those and force weapon. Whatever passives you want -- I like blur, evocation, glass cannon, or galvanizing ward.

With that skill you never need entangling shot to generate hatred and you can use the skill slot for marked for death instead... It works great for me. Maybe you can add to the guide what you would do to spec a mercenary too? Yes, it would definitely be a good idea to cover mercenary builds! It's a good idea for an upcoming video - but for the quests & demonstrations, I would like to do them without a mercenary, to stay true to the whole "solo" idea Also, beginning to record & upload quest/elite clears for all Act 3 areas with our budgeted gear: 1. Skycrown Battlements [18 min] + Show Spoiler + 2. Stonefort [21 min] + Show Spoiler +

Just out of curiosity - can you post a picture of your non budget equipment and your DH stats with this equipment? I want to see how big the difference is. Thanks in advance!
