wait, is this on EU? They are currently 234k, and that big of a price drop would be terrible.
I bought out a ton of items at 175k yesterday, got like 40 or so brimstone. I'm looking to sell them right before the patch hits, as their worth is likely to go down after that, because that's when everyone will be selling.

Yeah, I've got mixed feelings on when they'll peak. On the one hand, a lot of people will dump post patch. On the other hand, modifications to legendaries will permanently link the price of brimstone to the price of top tier weapons/armor, and since crafting requires a couple brimstone usually, and salvaging yields only one, more crafting = more brimstone being removed from the market. Since the drop rate of legendaries won't be buffed, and since less are coming from rares, I kind of wonder about the long term price of them as being permanently higher.
But you're right though, it will definitely peak pre-patch, drop a bit post-patch, but I wonder about how high the eventual rise afterwards will be.
I guess safe money is selling some pre-patch, and holding on to some. *shrugs*
I've got my two stacks of brimstone acquired at around 160k average. We'll see how the price moves and keep it all in mind.

The prices of fiery brimstones have skyrocketed this past week. I bought about 150 of them for 90 k a piece a couple of days ago, and right now they're at about 130k per piece on EU.
I think they'll get even more expensive when 1.1 comes out, which will probably be a while, but still. I urge everyone in here to invest in some of these as long as you have the money.

250k atm on US, not sure if i want to buy a stack or not, cant know if the price will increase enough to be worth it :/

yeah, some people haven't caught on. It's like people putting up junk legendaries for 100k still thinking that's all they're worth.
Hey, if the price dips down below 180k in NA, I'm buying more!

Not sure why people hogging Fiery Brimstone.
1. You are assumed that Legendaries will be better. But how much better? 2. Remember that the longer it takes to buff them, the more awesome rares entering the market. With Blizzard track record, the buff on legendaries may not be enough for people to considering to upgrade their gears. 3. Now that more people are caught on with Fiery Brimstone, whoever started this gonna flip all the stones and laugh from all the profits.

1. Well itemization is the biggest issue with the endgame right now, and there's a big fire under blizzards ass to fix itemization. Legendaries have been the biggest complaint on this since day1, and will be fixed in 1.4. The buff to Natalya's set was reviewed, and a blue posted that the set bonus in Natalya's was where they wanted to be headed with Legendaries.
2. Fair critique, not sure how much an impact.
3. We'll wait and see :D

Had to post this here to celebrate hitting the 100mil net worth mark using primarily the GAH. I don't mind farming, this is Diablo after all, but I can't really make myself do it when the AH is so so much more profitable per time spent. This is the flip that tipped me over 100m:

So everyone flipping is just hitting search a bazillion times an hour and looking for 1d12hr stuff to mouse over?

Most flippers tend to stay away from Off hand stuff because it is probably the most painful thing ever existed in a video game.
To flip, you must narrow down a specific thing you are looking for. Be specific and know what would sell well.

I'm going to quote myself on this... Why aren't people doing it like this instead?

Good luck on that. There are AH bots that will grab any legendaries that sold below a certain price.

Those are not bots... *cough*

Those are not bots... *cough* Well, there most definitely are D3 auction house bots, whether or not they're looking for legendaries or not is questionable. I think the saddest part of D3 is that playing D3 stock market is far more exciting and lucrative than the actual game. I haven't been "excited" in any part of the game since the first week I played. But I still get little chills when I search for an item, enter search terms, and a lowball price, and one item comes up, with 1 day 12 hours beside it.

Yea I've seen 1d12hr weapons get flipped in minutes with a ruby inserted to fake inflate the dps listing order and marked up 100%. I personally only search for lightning damage weapons because I'm vain.

LOL, you aren't the only one. I've never used a non-lightning weapon. It just looks too cool.

So many low level legendaries selling for less than 20k, so why not those? I haven't tried salvaging my low level legendaries, but aren't they going to 100% produce Fiery Brimstones?
