I haven't touched diablo for a while but after watching some streams I felt like trying my barb again. I used 3-4 mil on gear, but I'm still dieing on Mp1 act 3. So now I have around 5 mil left but I'm not really sure what I should focus on getting up (all my defensive stats seem alittle low).. is there some all res and LOH plateau I should try to reach? Also been thinking, what would the best weapon type be? Not sure between mace/sword, since the 15% increased damage from sword could be pretty good. | ||

WW really is that much more efficient, all the other classes whine about it being OP too. This is why: - +60% movespeed from skills (20% WotB and 40% sprint), +24% movespeed from gear for 84% total. You can even add another 15% with frenzy vanguard. - moving attack so you don't have to stop moving to kill trash, you can keep sprinting right on towards the elites while killing everything behind you - almost permanent uptime on WotB if you play it right. In addition to the movespeed, this means +25% attack speed, +10% crit and immunity to CC effects. - sufficient lifesteal and defense means that if you can outheal incoming damage, you just need to keep drawing circles around and around until everything is dead. Other builds like S&B and 2H are viable, but WW seems to be the king at the moment for fast farming. | ||

This may have been okay pre-patch, but post-patch LOH is worth dirt. It's so incredibly inefficient with the proc coefficients on the main abilities that you need stupidly loads of it (1000 LOH pre-patch requires roughly 2500 LOH post-patch to achieve the same amount of healing). Unfortunately, your DPS probably isn't high enough to use pure lifesteal, so you'll need to mix the two together to get enough healing for the moment. Mace/Axe gives loads of synergy with lots of builds, so it's usually considered the best. There's a bunch of builds that are viable, so you can pretty much choose what you want to play. However, tornado really is far more efficient than anything else for farming. At high MP a hammer of the ancients build seems best, but high MP isn't good for anything but farming keys. The good news is you can try the ww/sprint build right now - keep your shield on, and just grab the lifesteal passive instead of Tough as Nails and you should be ok (obviously change your other skills also). You'll need more healing too, I expect. You may want to change your weapons/amulet to get more LOH/Lifesteal to survive better. It might hurt to sacrifice DPS, but remember that a dead barb does 0 DPS | ||

As far as rings go, have you thought about a +cold Stone of Jordan? Very good for ww/sprint spec, I would very much recommend it. | ||

You actually inspired me to get one the other day after viewing your profile. :p I got a WD one since I play my WD and Barb mostly these days. I haven't put it to use on my barb quite yet though. | ||

I was testing some builds for soloing ubers yesterday and I found bash with clobber quite effective especially against kulle.
