ragequit, yes cc/cd are still most important stats, of course ias is nice on top of that but those two come first. bow is somewhat viable, but not really...every DH pretty much uses manticore (2h xbow) or calamity (1h xbow). i occasionally see some DH use windforce with lifesteal and socket, but i'm pretty sure those can't roll crit dmg with socket, which is what everyone really wants | ||

I'd buy a DML quiver and try some crafting for better bracers. Your rings are also not very good, but good rings are expensive. For a huge dps increase you'd need a manticore xbow, I've got no idea how expensive they are on the US server atm. Your gems are also pretty mediocre, but if you're low on money, focusing on the items mentioned above is more important. The skills are still fine. DH is a very weak class, but farming low mp levels is definitely doable with a DH. If you want to go above MP2 you'll need a lot more allres and HP to have fun. | ||

I'm guessing if you were patient you could probably snipe an even better one for around the same price. Also, that's just one example. There are tons in the 100k-200k range that aren't that bad | ||

For the ones who are not familiar with this build at all: + Show Spoiler + Kridershot is a Bow that generates Hatred instead of consuming it when using Elemental Arrow. That way you can permanently use Elemental Arrow without needing to skill any additional Hatred generation, which is fair on its own. Further you can spend the unused Hatred on big Hatred spenders. My paper DPS with the Manticore was ~50k DPS higher, but the AoE and the freed up skill slots compared to Rapid Fire are probably worth it. My main char was a Monk. With RoS / Patch 2.0 and Life Steal nerf, I switched to Demon Hunter because I never needed Life Steal for Demon Hunter anyways. Unfortunately I was running Manticore / Rapid Fire for 99% of the time and so I am not familiar with other builds yet. What I am looking for: * What is the best Rune for Elemental Arrow? - I currently have Frost Arrow (Cold) .. * What is the best Hatred spender? - I currently have Cluster Arrow - Loaded for Bear (Fire) ... * Overlapping elemental damage would be great for the build. Any ideas? - Unfortunately, there is no Cold rune for Cluster Arrow ..; - The Fear by Screaming Skull (Fire) probably sucks for Elemental Arrow. - Running Lightning Damage runes for both skills probably sucks too ... * If you would run different elemental damage types, because no optimal combination can be found, would you buff Elemental Arrow or the Hatred spender with the + to elemental damge gear? it does stupid amounts of damage to enemies that are in the correct spot. Like, 6 times 500% or something per shot. i also do like to run fan of knives for the little shit enemies that try to run at me. u can try chakrams if you want to match elemental types, too. | ||

Tried Cluster Arrwo - Cluster Bombs (Grenades) yesterday, but the animation takes far too long for my taste. Loaded for Bear kills e.g. a room full of skeletons instantly in Keep 2 as the 770% weapon damage at impact location happen immediately when the button is pressed without any dealy. With Cluster Bombs I would have to stop and wait in each room. Maybe for players who don't want to pick up the loot anyways but rush on while the bombs are still in the air - but thats not my style of play. | ||

then you also wont like chakrams, they can be slow as well. only the boomerang is fast, but it doesnt have the best area covered. | ||

I do think Cluster Bombs are a better choice to pair with Frost Arrow though. Loaded for Bear is easier to use than the Bombs, but Frost Arrow is already a solid trash-killer, so Bombs do well as your boss-killer/single-target DPS. In the end personal preference and comfort level win out though. | ||

I have Fan of Knives with the stun rune and Vault with Tumble for defense and Focus Fire for dealing high single target damage (usually elites/bosses). This leaves one skill slot open that I change from time to time, I currently have Marked for Death with Contagion for a 20% damage boost. It pairs nicely with Frost Arrow because as it kills the first marked target, it spreads to the others before the Frost Arrow shards hit them. You can spread the mark very quickly. As for passive, I use Steady Aim, Cull the Weak and Archery, all to buff DPS. Cull the Weak also pairs nicely with Frost Arrow (and Focus Fire if you use the slow rune) as the Frost Arrow slows and spreads the slow via the shards. I did get 20% fire damage bracers a little while back along with a Multishot dmg % item and I swapped Frost Arrow for Multishot with the fire rune and that works pretty good as well. I'm also trying Cluster Arrow but it tends to overkill/waste hatred on smaller packs. http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Thez-1901/hero/4621164 | ||

Adding +60 or +100 damage to a 50 dps weapon will often triple your damage output. Similarly, from level 40-ish and up you can use lvl 60 weapons with a level reduction requirement attribute to achieve the same effect. Generally for DH I use a hatred generator (Primary) on my left click (I use Entangling Shot so I can kite more easily) and a hatred spender (Secondary) on my right click (I use Frost Arrow). In your four slots you want at least one defensive ability, two if you are playing a higher difficulty, such as Vault or Smoke Screen. I often have Rapid Fire as a second spender to use against high health single targets. Although having two spenders means you cant use both at the same time, I find it helps to have a strong single target DPS ability. The fourth slot is generally utility or player preference. | ||
