Briefly tried Cluster Arrow but prefer the Ball Lightning style. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Thunder-1936/hero/15760368 Do I just need more resist? Cheers too much res already for so little hp so get more hp instead of res. you can probably sacrifice 100+ res easily to achieve 30k hp or more to have way more effective hp use gloom to not get one shot too low dmg probably aswell also i would really recommend sharpshooter at that dmg lvl and cluster arrow with cluster bombs or bear for much easier time with elites but still it's ofc better to use what you prefer.

Thanks will get some more vit (need a new helm anyway); will try swapping marked for death for gloom; what passive should I drop for sharp shooter? (Or which one should I keep?) Also what's the best way to boost damage? Crit chance, crit damage or attack speed (or do I still need to focus on more dex first)? I had been trying to get my crit chance up first.

i used this when i had lower dmg. cluster only for elites so it's not as hatred starved as it might seem. there are some other builds like this http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/demon-hunter#fPSVXg!TYe!bcZcZY or maybe evasive with covering. you seem to have a pretty low budget so it's hard to say how to get higher dmg but first i'd probably upgrade weapon then gloves and amu with dex, crit and crit dmg, i think gloves with dex, crit and crit dmg are pretty cheap these days and high dex and crit dmg would probably be wisest for amu cos if it has crit it gets expensive. it's pretty important to use a dps calculator to determine what is a good upgrade

If you are at high tier of gear and simply want to use a 1h xbow, a Calamity + DML combination would be better than Calamity + Danetta's. The 10% crit passive outweighs the other archery passives by a huge margin at higher gear levels. Also, a Danetta simply does not roll anywhere close to a Calamity on average, thus dual wielding will always lower your dps from averaging out both 1h xbows at the highest tier. It's a fallacy of itemization ;/ On another note, I've been messing around with builds and recently dumped Preparation for Multishot with Suppression Fire. I've noticed a boost in exp / hr from 35m to 45 - 50m from this. Disclaimer - I do not use Legacy Nat's. Also, you need quite good gear to make this work at a playable level. I'll highlight what (for me personally) are the most interesting DH changes: •Skill Rune – Wolf Companion •Wolf Companion has been redesigned to be a more durable pet: •Now has comparable durability to one Zombie Dog •New attack: 120-degree Cleave with a 10-yard radius that hits for 94% weapon damage •Skill Rune – Spider Companion •Spider Companion has been redesigned to be a more durable pet: •Has slightly more durability than the Wolf Companion •New attack: 120-degree Cleave with a 10-yard radius that hits for 38% weapon damage and Slows every enemy it hits by 60% for 2 seconds •Skill Rune – Boar Companion •Boar Companion has been redesigned to be a more durable pet: •Has more durability than the Spider Companion •New attack: Single-target attack that hits for 38% weapon damage •Provides (155 @ 60) Life per second and a 15% bonus to all resistances for the Demon Hunter More pet choices! For me, Spider and Boar sounds interesting. •Evasive Fire •Skill Rune – Shrapnel has been replaced with a new rune: "Hardened" •Hardened increases your Armor by 50% for 3 seconds and replaces the backflip I don't use Evasive Fire but I'm sure many DHs will be pleased with this change. I think this is very very good. •Sentry •Cost changed from 10 Discipline to 30 Hatred •Increased from weapon damage from 55% to 88% •Players can now have two turrets active at once, but an 8-second cooldown has been added to compensate •Sentry can no longer critically hit •Skill Rune – Spitfire Turret •Weapon damage increased from 8% to 15% •Skill Rune – Vigilant Watcher •Vigilant Watcher has been redesigned and now reduces the cooldown of Sentry by 2 seconds instead of increasing the duration •Skill Rune – Chain of Torment •Weapon damage increased from 80% to 100% A sentry DH anyone?? •Strafe •Movement speed increased from 65% to 75% •Hatred cost reduced from 16 to 12 •Skill Rune – Equilibrium has been replaced with a new rune: "Emberstrafe" •Emberstrafe leaves behind fire trail that deals 65% weapon damage per second for 2 seconds •All rune variants now allow you to walk through enemies while active I love strafe, but too bad it's too weak currently - I would experiment with it post patch! Note that it'll allow the DH to walk thorugh enemies! •Perfectionist •Now also increases Life, Armor, and Resistances by 10% I my opinion, this is a huge buff to this passive skill - very tempted to take this. There are many other changes, but I'll leave you to read it in the link.

I dont think I will use perfectionist at all, 10% seems like nothing unless you want to build a really really tanky DH and play in the highest monster level. even then it probably isn't efficient enough to overcome any other well used passives like archery, vegeance, tactical advantage and steady aim.

The 10% includes life, armor and all res. It may not be as good as other passives but it definitely poses a threat as a option. At the moment, I'm seriously considering taking it, wheareas before, it wouldn't even be on my horizon.

It should have at least +100 more DEX and 1 additional socket. * Upgrade your gems, and switch everything to star emeralds or better (exkluding the ruby if you're playing for paragon (still make sure you upgrade it properly though)). The only thing that could hinder you from doing inferno is your skill and/or play-style with that gear.
