There are mortars elites that are just so damn annoying as a WD. No matters what the others affixes are, the main boring thing remains the mortar. Is there anything so that i can mitigates those damage or something i can prevent it ? Having to hit them very far is really a pain in the ass. Keep in mind i use a Splinters Dart's build with 5 CCs and it's still annoying. I've 30k dps 32k hp and in Inferno.
Does fire resistance help against them ? They piss me off so bad too. Up at the top of the list, together with invulnerable, shielding and fast. This sounds stupid but works: stand right next to them behind a fetish army. Mortar has a minimum range, you can spam darts without running around if you engage well. Well, i know that, but good luck at being on the minimum range of 4(!) elites... Thank you but i think i'll pass ! :D Shield are ok though, with 5 CCs there's always a mob or two that aren't in shield and if you still have some difficulties at kite and run, you can try to sacrifice 1 CC for haunt (all runes are good, i still prefer relentless spirit because mobs off shield don't last forever).

Just wondering where jeweller design/plans are likely to drop, Inferno only?

Only the later acts of Inferno.

Does magic/gold find on your follower improve your gold/magic find?

Yes, the way it works is that it takes 20% of your follower's GF/MF and adds it to yours.
Is there any resist that's cheaper relative to others on AH? I'm gearing up my monk and all Monks need is a single resist so I'm looking for a way to save up some cash.

Hello Guys, I'm looking to buy gear for my Demon Hunter, it is like level 30, still leveling but what Stats should I get, Im looking for items with dexterity, but what else should I search for?
also, Why can't I find any gems on the Auction House, I select any gem and it give me no results,
Thanks for the help!

Ok, one thing I have not understood yet. Why do champiosn/rares sometimes heal up after I am dead and sometimes not? This seems totally independent from the affixes and independent from how long I have been dead. Sometimes they have healed from near dead to full in 5 seconds and sometimes not after even 20 seconds.

You'll want aspd on rings and amu, possibly gloves too. Also definitely get a socketed helm as you can put a ruby in there for some lovely +%exp. Other than that vit comes in handy (at least before act 2 inferno since by then everything will oneshot a DH pretty much regardless of vit) and that's about it, with a decent dps weapon and some decent dex nm-hell should be a breeze.
And if you read the message at the login screen, the commodities (which includes gems) AH has been disabled for now, it's been like that for about a week or so.

Lifesteal is just garbage. Lifesteal CAN be worthwhile in the context of builds using AoE abilities that have poor Life on Hit ratios (Life on Hit is reduced by a certain ratio for each ability--AoE abilities tend to have poorer ratios). You get full lifesteal value from AoE abilities. It's why Seismic Slam Barbarian builds tend to favor Lifesteal over LoH. Slam has a very poor Life on Hit ratio, and does a lot of AoE damage.
Hah, use a build with stats that work. If life on hit is so bad with the slam build that it's down to the level of lifesteal don't run either, or don't use a slam build.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe you want stuff that will boost your crit chance and crit damage. Vitality is pretty important too.

They heal up when you die, simple as. The sooner you get back to them and engage the less health they will regen, so if you are far into a dungeon and die, by the time you get back they will be fully healed. One thing i would recommend is if you know you're probably going to die to a group, kite them all the way to the dungeon entrance (or wherever you will respawn) so when you do die, you can get back into the battle instantly before they regen much health.

Not true, the mobs will "suddenly" regen back to full health. You can watch it happen as you lie on the ground cursing your fate. Sometimes it takes 3 seconds, sometimes seemingly never. But the only way to avoid it is like what you said, lure them to the respawn location and continue fighting after 3 seconds. If you keep dying, don't bother engaging if the respawn timer is greater than 8 seconds. Go back to town, afk for 2 minutes, then come back and the respawn timer will be at 3 seconds again.

so is there a consensus yet as to which class is the most viable in inferno? i don't need a discussion of balance or anything like that; mostly asking because I want to start a new class to just go kill diablo inferno ASAP to get the achievement.

At least from what I witnessed, melee seems to be having the most issues with Inferno. Now, keep in mind that Inferno can be completed with all classes, just some might be more or less difficult. The classes are also being worked on so there is no guarantee that the class you pick now will be the same by the time 1.0.3.

Except Slam builds work, and have MUCH higher DPS than tank builds. They're a bit more fragile and have drastically different gear requirements, but they more than make up for it with their strengths.
One of the earliest Inferno Diablo solos with Barbarian was with a Slam/Weapon Throw build, with about 9% lifesteal. It's not that Slam is "so bad that you have to use lifesteal"--it's that regardless of the Inferno lifesteal penalty, you're going to outperform similar Life on Hit when you have 50k+ DPS.

Demon Hunter hands down is the fastest.

Demon Hunter hands down is the fastest. Note though that there IS a pretty heavy item requirement for this speed, though. In order to farm faster and to make money faster than, say, a barbarian doing iskhatu 10 runs per 8 minutes(my time, you can probably do better as I suck), you need like 10mil worth of gear

Anyone got any ideas on this? He opens his inventory and insta-switches to mf gear, which seems realllllly good.

So far by popular consensus Demon Hunters are doing very well, followed by Wizards, Witch Doctors do ok, Monks are struggling and Barbarians claim inferno is impossible for their class.

But It's just the feel of the crowd reaction I see on the Bnet forums.
