Kind of ironic that you are saying this being a member for less than a year and having as many posts as you do.
As for Kelly, I have no problem understanding anything she says.

If you guys don't want to hear her cast code A then dont' =\
No need to go around telling EVERYBODY else that you're not going to and they should do the same..
Arguments been said in the other thread, and she already stated she'll work hard on it. GIve her a chance.
People who casually browse and ghost decided to make an account to speak against GomTV's decision. It actually motivated a lot of people to voice their opinion.

I feel like Gom should have been more careful seeing as how Kelly can't even speak clear and fluent English (I mean I can understand parts of it but it just doesn't sound right sometimes). She looks nice and i'm sure shes a great person... just not casting material (in my opinion).

I'm really suprised Gom chose her. This is making me think barely anyone signed up for the job so they had no choice but to go with her...?

Here's to hoping that she has improved aplenty since the last time we've met.
Oh boy, she's going to have to behave much more maturely than an attention-craving teenage girl who can't take criticism. She can actually change things like this in a short time period if she just makes an attempt to do so as opposed to her accent/enunciation which will be difficult to fix.

Don't believe me? Watch her latest youtube video of her opening a new steel series headset http://www.youtube.com/user/kellyMILKIES
Why should her attractiveness/likability have any bearing on whether or not she should cast? I'm sure there are a few people who would watch just to see her, there are lonely people everywhere. As for myself, I'd rather watch a decent native English speaking streamer, male or female, who is unattractive, because I'm watching for the Starcraft, not the esthetics of the caster. I have no idea why they would hire someone who speaks English with a pronounced accent that is difficult to understand to cast in English. I can only imagine it was to try and appeal to the stereotype of the hard up gamer who would tune in just because she's attractive, but I think that will backfire on them. It's not about her "improving" either. She's had some time to improve, it's not like she started casting yesterday. And why would people pay money to watch someone improve their barely intelligible casting? Hire a good caster to begin with. I'm not even going to comment on her game knowledge, it's not like it matters that she doesn't know what she's talking about when you can't understand what she is saying to begin with.
Edit : To the people saying stop hating, she chose to go into casting. If I try to become a singer, and I'm a terrible singer, as soon as I jump into the public arena saying "I'm a singer", it's perfectly acceptable for people to criticize. Have enough humility and self-awareness to know when something you're doing is not going well instead of trying to force it. I have no sympathy for people so hungry for attention they will cram mediocre performance down our throats.

Where did she say that? Pretty sure tl is the most overly anxious website in the world to stop ppl at trolling (even when people aren't sometimes and are just stupid)
She's an ok caster, but like a lot of people said she's hard to understand at times, and has a pretty annoying voice too. I can be critical of artosis sometimes with the way he casts, but I don't think she has the voice to even begin.

How can you complain to someone about their accent? It's not like people can change their voice, lol.
"YO, FIX YOUR ACCENT!" is the dumbest criticism ever. oo~

Congratulations, Kelly. Make us proud.

That's kind of the point. If people can't understand her when she speaks english, and she cannot fix her accent, maybe she shouldn't cast after all.

"YO, FIX YOUR ACCENT!" is the dumbest criticism ever. oo~ You can, actually. A lot of singaporean people use different accents for speaking with westerners/locals, and anyone that does public speaking knows that you speak differently for that. One of my jobs in the Army was parade MC and I had lessons on speaking clearly and with proper intonation - casting, in a similar way, can be practiced and refined.
ofc nobody is saying she should talk differently in her day to day life, but even then, accents can be learned and changed.

Yep. Radio DJ's / pro sports casters all do this.

Singlish is hard to understand... Singapore is the place to go for a vacation but their accent is hard to bare after some time... I can totally understand how there are haters.
I'm not sure how long I can bare the accent for for the Code A games. The players on Code A are getting stronger but it's quite obvious the level of play is quite a bit lower than Code S. So having yet another reason not to watch Code A is quite a shame, I was hoping that with a new season of qualifications it would be better but things might have gone for the worse.
Anyhow I'm not unfamiliar with it so I can understand what she says but let's hope her casting skills are better than HDH... I used to follow them bigtime but their level of strategies/analytical skills just aren't on par with Tastosis. They miss a whole lot aswell. I'm sure the observer will also do that for the new pair of casters so I hope they won't miss too much that's not on the screen.
*edit: was a bit hard to read.

That doesn't sound anything like GOMtv's explanation: "showed us that she was willing to adapt and improve as a caster." I hope she doesn't go crying to Artosis and Tasteless whenever people complain and cause Tasteless to say something unnecessary on air again.

I wasn't really familiar with her so I read a few responses of the people here, watched some of her replays and checked out her twitter page. I can honestly say that she's a terrible choice and here's why:
First off, she has a lack of knowledge of the game. If your going to be casting games with Artosis and Tasteless, guys who live eat breath starcraft, then you should be able to have a vast knowledge of the game and it's inner mechanisms as well. She's hard to understand at times and casters need to be articulative at all times. The audience will stop watching or press mute on the TV if there is an annoying person talking.
Digging deeper, I know why she bothers so many of us here.
Looking at her twitter page and some of her FB posts screenshots, her attitude/personality are a big turn off. She's arrogant when she shouldn't be about anything and thinks people should grovel at her feet.
*Pro-tip* Kelly - Buying expensive clothes doesn't make you more desirable. It just shows that your materialistic. This tips on the house but the next one will cost ya.
She's an attention seeker, taking mulitiple self-pics of herself and posting them. People who do this have self-esteem issues about themselves.
I can tell she thinks shes floating on air since she's surrounded herself by people with the stereotypes of being bad with girls (eg - the lonely gamer). Sorry, this isn't true.
When I see someone start talking about "the haters" it signals "prude" to me. If you really cared about this game Kelly, you'd take the criticism and learn from it. You just block it out, very unprofessional. Your not who you think you are. We don't want a "wannabe-socialite/diva" representing us.
The only guys this girl attracts are ones that don't play Sc, and she can have them. No one here cares.
She needs to take her trashy prude attitude back to wherever she came from. She's using the Sc2 platform as a stepping stone. The guys who let her cast with them should politely brush her off when she returns.
To sum up,if the Sc2 community wants a girl to represent them at GSL, she's a terrible choice. I'm positive that there are girls involved in this game who could do so much better (press heart to continue could kick ass at this if she wanted too).
I don't think I was over the top so hopefully this post won't get deleted.
