lol it's mostly only the drones and scv's and probes who are most out spoken in this thread. Trying to get post count up guys?
If you guys don't want to hear her cast code A then dont' =\
No need to go around telling EVERYBODY else that you're not going to and they should do the same..
Arguments been said in the other thread, and she already stated she'll work hard on it. GIve her a chance.

That's rather condescending of you. You've posted a fair amount here too. See: http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies/appeal-to-authority.html
No need to go around telling EVERYBODY else that you're not going to and they should do the same..
And likewise, to think that people could think independently and make their own decision regarding viewing the Code A games.

Alright, sure, she'll improve, but it bugs me other more qualified people IMO didn't get hte job.
We are doing our best to find the best and most suitable caster for GSL Code A so for the time being, please show us your support for Kelly and GSL March.
This is good news. I'm not sure what would lead thme to say this other than widespread disappointment.
Still guys, giveh er a chance. Even though I'm not terribly excited about this, just deal with it until we really know how well she'll do.

As a SEA player I'm fairly biased, but I watch a lot of international casts from europe, the US and of course Korea. To those who say Kelly isn't an amazing caster tactics-wise, she only plays zerg and is not a professional player. Tasteless plays random at a fairly high level, as does Day9, so they are lucky enough to understand all nine match-ups as players. As someone who's seen both her and Artosis commentate ZvZ I confidently feel she is almost at Artosis' level, with the latters experience on the Korean servers making up the difference. Please stop bitching. Please. I said to people before the 100 page thread that it was great for Sc2 as a whole to have someone commentating games in Korea who wasn't American. I realise that a diversified team of casters will take some getting used to but this should be supported by the community instead of the constant bickering I see.
And Yoz, a series of bad experiences with someone as they are starting out is not enough evidence to speak against them so strongly. Keep your professional and personal ideas separated mate.

Although I get what you're generally saying, I would definitely say that Artosis has a much better understanding of ZvZ than she does.
I don't have really that much hard evidence, but to be quite honest Artosis plays at a very high level. She doesn't...

KellyMILKIES is a mediocre SC2 caster among a sea of mediocre SC2 casters.
I also have trouble understanding her at times.
Hope everything works out for her and GSL.

I find it incredibly hard to believe based on the VODs, but if she magically understands ZvZ as well as Artosis (someone who has spent a lot of time talking about the matchup with Idra), then that is great and all...but that is an incredibly rare matchup in the GSL and her clear lack of knowledge in all the other matchups is going to be a painful thing to experience come stream time.

man... are u fucking kidding me, there are plenty of better casters out there than her, wtf gom -_-

You don't get to excuse someone's lack of ability by explaining that they're not qualified, because they're still not qualified.
I also doubt a platinum/low diamond player has the same level of understanding as Artosis. That's not her fault, because that man knows the game, but it's a concern here when game knowledge is a requirement.
Kelly is probably one of the hardest working SEA casters, but effort is not the same as results.

Does anyone know if they are still accepting tryouts//applications. I did a lot of casting for quite a few different different games and genres, but I have a passion for SC2 and growth, and would really love to contribute. If it is still available to display my talent I would definitely be able to put a montage together. If anyone knows please pm me or follow my post with an answer. It's appreciated. Thank you.

...in any case! Thought I'd highlight a post that might have been lost in this thread:

Here's to hoping that she has improved aplenty since the last time we've met.
Bumped because it's one of the few posts that actually supports itself with personal evidence.
Here's to hoping GOM looks for even the tiniest little bit of community feedback next time before making major changes to casters/commentators. =/

What most American/Australian/English people here don't seem to get is that it is very hard for a non native speaker to understand anything she says. I listened to one of her casts for a few minutes and I had no idea what she was saying. Yeah, supporting other casters besides Americans is great, but you're actually neglectic a big part of the foreign community.

hmm,now idra leaves korea, artosis will be all alone maybe he'll get a new roomate :D

Many of us can't really understand her either. I mean I kind of can most of the time, but you have to listen really hard, and I'd much rather listen to a caster who is actually fluent in english and easy to listen to.
But Yeh, kind of feel bad for her with all this incredibly negative feedback, already paid my money and can't wait for Code A though, so hopefully she does okay.

Honestly, it takes a real commitment to move out to Korea and it wouldn't surprise me if they had quite a small group to pull from. Most casters just do it as a casual hobby and way to stay connected with the game, making it your job is a different story entirely. She's not the greatest caster but moving out there shows that she is fairly serious about it which hopefully means she'll improve (mainly on her accent and abilities to interact with a co-caster from what I've seen).

Silly me thinking that I could express my opinion about something regardless of how many posts I've had. Sorry that not everyone posting here has posted hundreds of posts on TL.

See how stupid that argument was?
There's two more days until the GSL. Two more days until the public has something to criticize or praise of her for. I'll still be watching the Code A with the mute button in hand, probably will wait a week or so before seeing if I want to buy a ticket though.

Artosis has a gf. And Kellymilkies according to what she constantly says when she's on Destiny's skype states her bf is Moonglade or something. I have no idea.
