I've always muted streams when she is "casting." The last straw was when she was meant to be casting a live match but started calling out people and raging at them for critisizing her in chat, I felt embarrassed just listening to it.
I cannot understand her english sometimes - especially when she gets too excited and starts racing with her words. She interrupts her co-casters waaaay too often also.
It really sounds like she's just chilling in vent with friends talking randomly about the game - not commentating to an audience.

I'm really suprised Gom chose her. This is making me think barely anyone signed up for the job so they had no choice but to go with her...?

I think the thread's hit a nice stopping point now that we've covered her and Artosis's dating lives...

Additionally, any points made regarding her knowledge of the subtle intracies of XvX matchups are entirely moot. While semi-esoteric knowledge/insight is always a nice thing to have as a caster, playing ability is most likely one of the least important skills one should have while casting. I'm quite sure the majority of posters here would donate their first imaginary child to get TB as the new GSL caster, and as entertaining and enjoyable as he is to listen to I'm fairly certain the majority of decent players would roflcopter all over him in a game. That's why he's a fairly successful caster, and not a pro gamer.

I think it's fair to give her a chance for the March GSL, if she does not improve or work on her really tough to understand accent GOM should reconsider keeping her as a caster. Game knowledge is something you gain through experience and I think the solution with Tasteless and Artosis rotating with her is a good way to make sure she gets on a decent level in that department. But her english is something only she can work on and I hope she does.
Because even me as a non native english speaking person, who never heard or saw her before heard where she was from because of her thick chinese accent and that's something I think a commentator should work first on to get his english on a level that makes it good to listen to regardless of where you are from.
And i think that's one of the reasons why americans are casting most of the time. They are the easiest to understand

Considering that it seems like few people in GOM speak English, Tastosis must have had a hand in choosing Kellymilkies. If they believe she's up for the task, I expect that she'll deliver and give us good commentary

I'll be perfectly frank - I think that by themselves, Artosis and Tasteless are a lot less amazing than when they are combined :p. Maybe Kelly will bring along some synergy that'll surprise us

Wow I can't understand her at all... how is someone who doesn't play starcraft supposed to know what's going on if one of the casters is unintelligible?

I wouldn't know what she was saying if I didn't know what the units were called already and could kind of hear the sound for them

Seems like a really bad idea for the e-sports community IMO.

The ease of listening seems to be the most pertinent issue as some one mentioned before. Do you want to be focusing on the game, listening in to the commentating to appreciate the depth of the strategy/play; or straining to understand what they are saying?
It is just her enunciation of certain sounds that make her hard to understand (i feel bad for those who speak English as a second language), specifically the "r" and "l" sounds that very typically those who speak Asian languages struggle with. That will come with some practice though so to discount her from the start would be fairly harsh. You can pick people on future potential, hence sporting teams recruiting young players. Though to be honest at the moment i am really not a fan of her casting.

Ok, so I watched a couple of her casts. I had an open mind going in thinking she can't be as bad as what people have been saying.

I'm sorry, but she is not up to the caliber of casters that GSL should have. Even my wife thought she was not good. (She's overheard some Tastosis commentary and she could even tell Kelly is not up to par)

I'm not trying to be mean, but she has got a long way to go if she doesn't want to be replaced as soon as someone else comes along.

Totalbisquit is an example of someone with an accent that people can understand what he is saying. He is a great caster imo. He seems to be very defensive over people not being able to understand Kellymilkies though. For a "cynical" Brit, he should try to be more cynical with her

I just hate her 4chan attitude, calling out on TL as being a troll fest when everyone was giving their opinion. Some people went over the top but mods kept it clean.

I'm not too optimistic but we'll see how it goes Monday night. More hype I spose, good or bad.
