Why do koreans hide their faces??

Fisdj United States25 Posts December 06 2007 20:22 GMT #1 Can somebody PLEASE explain to me why when there are televised matches in korea and the camera rolls over the audience, a majority of korean spectators quickly try to cover their faces. I have been seeing this over and over and over and i don't understand it. Can someone who is korean or someone who has lived their explain the reasoning behind this? thank you
