Due to many people from WGT, GG.net, and Battle.net asking me to write a Terran Guide, I have finally chosen to do so. Writing this took about three hours so I hope you all enjoy! TERRAN vs. PROTOSS
I think my Tvp is my most dominating matchup. I do not fear Protoss going into a game. I don’t care who they are as long as they are not a progamer. Thus, I think my Tvp can contend with the top foreigners. In Tvp, I generally open with 7 to 10 rush oriented attacks in order to gain a lead putting the Protoss in a dilema.
Midas Rush - Any Map
This is probably my most common rush in Tvp. I believe that if controlled properly, it is one of the most deadly rushes out there. I favor this rush for three reasons. It is deceptive, it hurts, and makes me feel comfortable.
Early Game Theme
7 Upgraded Marines
1 Tank
1 Expansion
Move out and micro to no end.
Chosen Build
9 Depot
11 Barracks
12 Gas
NOTE: A timely Barracks hinders a Scout or Zealot rush.
My Midas Rush offers me three things
1. It breaks down a 1 Gate Range into FE forcing ProToss to cancle their expansion gaining me time on mine. Having the same Fact to Gate ratio enables me to jump to my third Fact and get to my preasure style immediately since he will lose units. Also, my new Fact allows me to reproduce units quicker and transiton into a 5 Fact Tornado.
2. I may catch them doing a Robo Build. Aginst this I can dominate them by going into their base and kills probes. There isn't much more too it.
NOTE: Midas > Robo
3. If forced back due to 2 Gate Range Robo or 2 Gate Range into FE, I'll contain far enough outside his choke so it's not noticeable but close enough for a quick attack. This will generally make a Protoss panic and suicide more than he should to stop it strengthening my Pressure Push. This is simular to Midas vs. Draco but much more aggressive.

It is a pretty good guide. You're tone/writing style is, well... bad, but I'll say that's cause you're 14 or something. I think you should try to use less terminology like "midas rush," etc. You also don't cover what counters to expect to the builds, for the most part. a big part of pressure play also is harassment and tank placement, which you do not discuss in much detail.
really though it's a pretty comprehensive guide and i don't think you should be getting all butthurt because kids are giving you some (somewhat deserved) shit for it.

I wonder why you respect Inc, when he behaves like a arrogant idiot? I dont think you did anything wrong when you did post this guide, it just seems like there are many fools here, that have a "need" to keep bringing people down.

4 ranged goons at your choke (and 2 more coming from a standard 2-gate-range) > 7 rines + tank if he micros well. And 2 gate range is a very much used opening. Now don't get me wrong, a lot of rines work, but other than that you don't have squat (1 tank isn't that much of a threat), so if he just camps at your choke/nat/whatever I don't think you'll be able to do any sort of damage to him.
The second strat would work if he expos a lot but if he goes dt to keep you from expoing you're toast. When I go dt I don't even try and go up-ramp. I just camp at the expo spot. If I do this, then when you come out you won't have scan (turrets don't count, since you're supposed to be agressive). And that will set you back A LOT, and the whole build is kinda compromised.
I didn't bother reading further, because I'm not a terran player, but I do want to say that you should also expose the weaknesses of these builds. You're acting like there's nothing anyone can do to stop them, and well, there is.
Either way, I respect all terrans that go ANYTHING but 1fact exp.

Um are you referring to me as "his little buddy?" If so then I must say there is no reason to include me in the discussion of undersireable qualities lastshadow may have. I made all my post in this thread without his permission are knowledge. He has not put me up to anything. The only other post I made other than posting the revised guide was to help calm things down before this thread got to this point. It is unfair to group me with anyone due to the mere fact that I may be there friend. Judge me for who I am and notice I have not contributed to any negative aspets of the guide. I posted am sample guide that was revised before his awareness and I posted it only to have it ignored untill 4 pages later. If read I am sure you can I see I took out a lot of content that people disaaprove of. I pretty much seen what everyone is saying in advance and as a gift to spare him this flame, chose to edit his guid while trying to keep his personality within it.
