I don't really care about it because "spending" 50 or 100 hours of your life for a month of gameplay is of much higher value to me than $15

Also for me personally it is fun to gain things in game that have value irl. More fun actually then getting some ingame item that you throw away in a week. In Hearthstone I would also never buy card packs because it is actually fun to me to earn them. Not because I cant afford it.

edit: I'm also surprised by how many people pay for Arch carry. If the Moose was on a vendor in Warspear for 40k, I don't think so many people would buy it. So people are paying to fake the achievement? The thrill of the kill even though they're just spectators? I don't get it.

I'm just hoping I'm not completely bullied out of buying anything of importance during Legion with my 250k. What are the boosting/carrying guilds going to be spending their gold on? I'm afraid of prices being driven so high that I can't afford basics. There aren't raid-ilvl BoE world drops in Legion like there were in Draenor, right? My server has half a dozen or so guilds that i've heard have ~10m+ going to BoE's etc. They might even go for 250k each in the first few weeks but i have really no idea about the supply, demand or really even which items exist. I've opted out of mythic rushing the first tier for my own sanity because of all of this, class/spec selection, artifact quirks, split running for gear etc. I don't get why anyone would pay for a HC archi kill when it's such an easy encounter that many guilds gladly take pugs for the ride for free. I'm ~i710 on my new char w/ 13/13 mythic HFC and have been declined from every single archimonde heroic (and usually even normal) group after linking that achievement, imagine trying to do shit without it. Gimme a poke if you're in one of those guilds ![]()

There aren't raid-ilvl BoE world drops in Legion like there were in Draenor, right? So they're gonna be trying to dominate the crafted gear market, trying to get people to sell their gear for outrageous prices rather than equip it themselves. Same with flasks, potions, enchants and gems. They'll offer so much gold that the crafters would rather sell and not have enough for themselves. My main and alt are engi/jc and engi/ench. And I've got another character that I don't plan to play but is mining/herbalism. I've got an alch I'm not planning to play. So hopefully I can make some money off engineering, make my own gems and enchants, spend gold on flasks/pots, and probably give up on any hope of having any good crafted gear (which won't matter much in the long run). edit: I'm also surprised by how many people pay for Arch carry. I don't get it. Crafted will be expensive as hell in the time before raids opens, Either get a friend/alt to craft them or simply don't bother and farm dungeons and Mythic+ once it opens. If Epics are sold on the BMAH again then they will go for huge numbers but that's something you can ignore. Gems/Flasks/Food will be more expensive because there will be less mats. No farm/mine to give everyone free mats and they will be maybe to expensive for the first week or 2 of raiding but that will quickly drop to manageable levels.

The team will avoid nerfing a spec from being a little too good to the worst so that you don't feel that all of your Artifact progression was a waste. It's official, almost every mythic hunter will be MM for the whole of the first tier ![]() Everyone on the server was doing Frostfire at the same time, resulting in a laggy zone and even more players building up there, making things even worse. This is why the previous developers at blizzard learned from burning crusade and made WOTLK and Cataclysm have two starting zones instead of one. A lesson since forgotten and hopefully relearned

I don't get it. The appeal of the moose, is the exclusivity. They're patching it out after Legion hits. But yea, expect the prices to be INSANE for like. a month or two before in the game. There's limited amounts of gear since raids won't be unlocked, and you have all these nerds that have farmed up millions of gold by selling gear/mounts in HFC for the last year. Not only will those raids be locked, but there wont be LFR until weeks after those raids unlock, so demand is going to crazy!! Speaking of raids being locked, check out this interview (transcript + VOD) https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/4yjl4b/legion_interview_fatboss_vs_ion_hazzikostas/ Raids & Mythic keystones will unlock after 3 weeks

In 7.1 “Addons will not be able to access unit positions in raids, dungeons, and competitive instances.” This was meant to be implemented for 7.0.3 but didn’t get addressed in time—there was a risk it could break outdoor world addons. Blizzard didn’t want to announce it until it was doable, and the work has been completed internally.

Mythic Archimonde or even Mythic Kormok mechanics seems insane without a propoer tool to tell players where to be.

This feels like the removal of that addon capability back in Wrath that let you draw on the ground - same stuff. Hopefully it improves encounter design and gameplay. It had gotten to the point where we just expect on every fight that blizzard will likely use these mechanics and every player will have a radar on their screen for them

All of those "hits everybody within 6 yard" mechanics etc.. They're on hellfire assault, iron reaver, kormrok, council.. you'd have to list off all of the fights that DO NOT use that mechanic. It had gotten to the point where we just expect on every fight that blizzard will likely use these mechanics and every player will have a radar on their screen for them That is pretty much exactly why its broken yeah. The AVR addon (think that was the name) was able to draw on a players screen for stuff happening in the game world and they nuked it hard because it was to much. Addons have once gain reached that point with arrows guiding you to spots on Kormrok ect so they are doing a new change to again crush that. Providing the information the game gives you more clearly is fine, playing the game for you by telling you where to move ect, is not. But it kinda became unavoidable once Garrisons became static to one zone, still really dumb tho. Fortunately Legion has 1 bottleneck at the very first minute of the expansion as everyone gathers in Dalaran and after that you spread out to your artifact quests and then to all 4 leveling zones so if the servers can survive that small initial hump it will be fine.

Fortunately Legion has 1 bottleneck at the very first minute of the expansion as everyone gathers in Dalaran I'm sure that's gonna go completely fine :D -- I think the radar was more problematic than kormrok arrows. We have an environment with lots of lazily communicated high damage mechanics that everybody deals with using a boss mods radar

They talked a bit about the WoD issues. Anyone who played on a big horde server remember the spyglass of doom and the lines people made in front of it. I'm sure they're going to do all that's possible to avoid that.
