Kind of dumb if we can't since their reason for not allowing it was that they didn't want everyone running around with the same weapons, but now everyone will be running around with doomhammers and ashbringers Correct you can't. Outlaw rogues have a skin that looks a lot like Thunderfury tho.

They're introducing silence punishments to the game - http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/5824-New-Silence-Penalty-Coming-to-World-of-Warcraft
Not sure what to think about this, but the current punishments are far from perfect. As one example during HFC a rival guild mass-reported some key members of our raid team during raid hours and one of them actually recieved an automatic temp ban (i think 30 or 60 minutes) without having done anything - blizzard took longer to reply than the ban and was apologetic but didn't actually do anything else.
They say that no silences will happen without investigation - if that's actually true then it's at least a step up from the current system.

I thought the silence penalties only had to do with chat, it didn't sound like you are allowed to be banned from the game itself for getting reported? And a 30 to 60 min silence/chat ban during raid hours seems like it wouldn't even be noticed, being you can still type in raid and party chat.

Actually they said it was 24 hours for the first one, and doubles every time you get it afterwards.

In WOD there is an automatic temp ban if you recieve a certain number of reports in a short period of time. These are game bans, you get kicked from the game and you cannot log in for half an hour or an hour so yes it does affect raiding. This isn't related to the new silences, it's how the game works right now before they're implemented

WoW - Legion Pre Patch; Live! The skies over Azeroth are growing darker. . . .
The Legion pre-expansion patch is arriving July 19(20th EU), and we wanted to give you a heads up about what to expect—and when you can expect it.
This update will include a wide variety of features and content that set the stage for the expansion, including system changes, quality-of-life improvements, and major in-game events. Some of these features will be available immediately, while other content will be unlocked in the weeks leading up to the expansion’s launch. Read on for more details.
The Opening Salvo When the pre-expansion patch initially goes live, players will be able to immediately access many of its key system-related features. Some of these major updates include:
Transmogrification Updates The new Transmogrification Collections system will make it easier than ever to collect, store, and sort through the gear you want to use for transmogging—without taking up storage space in your inventory, bank, or Void Storage. As you collect items that can be used with the system, you can browse through them—as well as sort by class or slot—in the Appearances tab in your Collections interface.
Class Updates We’re making some significant changes to classes and their specs for Legion to further strengthen their identities. The core changes to spells, talents, and more are going into effect as soon as the pre-expansion patch goes live. For more information on what’s new for each class and spec, read our earlier class preview blogs.
We’re also making it easier to switch between specializations for different content. Players will be able to queue up for dungeons, raids, Battlegrounds, or Arenas as any role that is available to their class, while continuing to play as another role while they’re waiting. When they enter the content they’ve queued for, they will automatically switch to the suitable role upon entering (at no cost) and then switch back automatically when they leave the instance.
The March Toward Legion In the weeks following the pre-expansion patch, we’ll be unlocking even more content that leads into the August 30 launch of Legion. We’re still determining the exact timing of these events, but players who pre-purchase Legion can expect to be playing a Demon Hunter around the second or third week of August (no later than August 17 globally). We’ll share more details in the weeks ahead, but here’s a look at what’s in store:
Burning Legion Invasions Before all hellfire breaks loose upon the Broken Shore, the Burning Legion will begin its assault upon Azeroth, turning some familiar stomping grounds into demon-infested battlefields—and it will be up to the heroes of the Alliance and the Horde to face the onslaught.
Demon Hunter Early Access In the weeks before launch, those who have pre-purchased Legion will get early access to the new Demon Hunter class. Players will begin at level 98 and will find themselves on the fel-shattered expanse of Mardum, where they’ll play the Demon Hunter starting experience before joining their allies in the fight against the Legion.
The Battle on the Broken Shore Begins As the situation grows more dire, Azeroth’s heroes will begin their first foray onto the Broken Shore—the epicenter of the demonic invasion.
All of the features and content listed above (save for Demon Hunter early access) will be available to all World of Warcraft players, regardless of whether they’ve pre-purchased Legion.

Note: DH and Invasions will come later not today.

I liked leveling in WoD because was very straightforward and pretty fast. I liked Highmaul and BRF, but never got into anything after that and glad i didn't looking at how it all unfolded. Oh well, time to do it all again soon :D

Helloooooooo obsessive transmog collecting.

I'm happy the patch is hitting, but the shadow priest is getting massive changes. I'm not sure, I'm undecided...

Some spec got much better while some are left sort of in the ditch. Well it should of been expected when they shift abilities around. I think you should experiment with the spec now because when Legion comes out, it not going to change very much even with the artifact. Most of the ability you gain from Artifact talent tree are just passives so there isn't as much room to expand game play. Good time to find and experiment with the spec.
Spec I am most worried about is survival hunter but I feel you on the shadow priest too. Definitely feels different and not sure if good or bad yet

go from doing almost 60-70k dps on my warrior to 35 good shit

Ahh patch week. I love my random disc and bugs :p

You know things are bad when the Zeppelins break down.

Well my rogue went from consistant to crazy.
Assa went from like 70k -> 100k.
Combat/Outlaw can go from 60k-150k depending on RNG.
And I havent really dont much sub but likely 100k range, down from 120kish on most fights.

I haven't really decided whether or not to bother with Legion. I really don't like what they did to destro and affliction is just more boring now.

I love what they're doing with shadow priests from a thematic standpoint, everyone looks awesome, I think i'll enjoy it more than shadow orbs....the problem I have is that I think the artifact is so freaking stupid. I hate daggers....
Also, is there serious use for the last talent? The one where you die horribly or did they literally give us a meme talent?

At boss tunneling I did okay but hell, multitarget fights are a chaotic mess. Very easy to fail at this. I can't speak for other classes but everyone who likes a hard challenge shadow priest is a good choice.

Haha, the last talent is funny and it's even more funny when you think that retri pallys getting a damage buff when a group member dies. Seriously, it seems to be a hard progress talent to survive a specific phase in a fight or for trolling. I hope they buff the mindspike talent a bit. It looks very interesting.
btw, Blizzard did a change on the loot system http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/20747394750?page=1#8
