This really needs to stay off as well because it enables MW to insta heal every 30 sec. Can not even imagine M+ without it because MW has almost nothing else to instant heal.
I logged in and looked. MW has LC/TFT/Fort brew/roll off GCD, as well as 75 talent.
Leg sweep/RoP/paralysis/Crack bird/Revival are on gcd.

Looking at Fury after this change they've just barely got more than half of the effective live uptime for Battle Cry and they're losing the whole artifact of other stuff as well as legendaries; these are the core definition of what the spec actually is (several builds) and nothing even remotely resembling them - or anything alternate and potentially better - is possible without those.
They're extremely reliant on all of this artifact stuff + the artifact ability + certain combinations of legendaries, not even just one legendary by itself.
I checked a few numbers quick, legendary combo vs ilvl 1k BIS stat items in the slot on sim. Rage per sec w/ carnage build is 43% higher with the legendary pair so losing that, losing 45% of your cooldown uptime and also losing the whole artifact and its ability is just wtf unplayable - they're massive shoes to fill. I think a lot of that sort of thing needs to be baseline yesterday, too much core functionality

Also wondering.. is there a better WoW forum out there? Official forum is trash, MMO champion seems to have been taken over by alt right / russiabot propaganda for years now plus the regular weird shit like the link between autism and telepathy thread that's on its third day riding the front page right now. Does anybody actually talk about the game anywhere else?

Me too but 99% of my class community is on two discord servers owned by the same people that are so deep in memes and circlejerking that they don't allow theorycrafting any more

I generally talk here some, but otherwise I use the class forums (rogue/monk) and alpha forums.
Although recently I am more picky on what threads I look at since class forums has some terrible trolls in it and the alpha forums in the past week have exploded with all the new invites. Some new people are seriously foolish in the alpha forums. Asking for artifact weapons/flying and I just don't think they understand what an alpha is. Makes no sense.
I am not in any class discords so unsure on how they are.

There's no universally good WoW forum anymore. You have to find specific communities, or even threads within those communities, if you're looking for meaningful discussion.
Probably most of the good discussions/theorycrafting aren't in public spaces these days.

I am! I have played with a few people that are doing it on alpha and been watching some streams for the prepping too.
Some of the strats are pretty hilarious (and dps numbers are lulzy. Watching MM hunter/WW monk pull 40M+ dps on first Maw pull).
I am definitely looking forward to the streams of them with the live cast.

There's a Chinese team getting really good times now, too. There's a vod out of their #1 Maw run.
Fragnance's team is hiding their runs right now... I guess most of the action will be the last couple days.

I am not on the tournament realm (would be cool to test out), but I have played with Slootbag (hes casting MDI), Quin and some method folk on alpha as well. Talked to them a bit, was watching gingi's stream when they were doing basic practice/load out for characters.
Quin has been streaming his time trials as well. I haven't looked at the chinese guilds.
I just like watching this stuff. I play at odd times for NA (7am-noon EDT usually) so not as many people around to do high keys, or form a high key team.

I'm interested to watch some but the balance and representation issues are extreme to the point where i wouldn't enjoy it right now
The teams on the higher keys are so heavily biased towards OP specs and a lot of the time trials are even more wtf; the Upper Kara 22 leaderboard averages 2 WW monks per group with the fastest group having 4 WW monks.

Yeah the comps for Upper Kara are funny. They’ve broken the DK mold in a few cases though... warriors are pretty good on Medivh.
The Chinese team is running a fairly normal comp though and has posted two ridiculous times on Maw and Nelth’s. Interested to see what they do on Upper.

Why run qualifiers with different rules to the tournament? How are people supposed to qualify with e.g. ret paladins when all of their buddies are swapping onto fotm windwalker alts because of the imbalance

It is! Karazhan and Cathedral were pretty broken for a while but are balanced better now, Seat is the infamous one

There's a HUGE blob of people with around 945-960 bag ilvl who range from trash skill level to being kinda good but not great at the game because anyone who actively plays will naturally rise to that ilvl from doing the easier content. When you hit 965-975 it's much easier to stick your head out of the crowd
actually found it easier to sell lvl 15 runs with a few friends (1tank 1heal 2dps) with my new char as the DPS than to queue into regular groups; way too many declines and when i got into group finder groups they usually weren't any good.
Preach did a recent video series on these kinds of subjects, i've watched a bit but it's ~4 hours long which isn't usually for me ;D

I also feel like people don't even experience or have experienced the mechanics of Seat due to facerolling it before mechanics actually kick in on Mythic+ but it does feel a lot harder yeah.

This happened to me because I face rolled heroics then tried to do it at like +8 and our group could not get past the boss with the pets in my 1st attempt to do it on mythic.
