And consider that DPS pots, that you use a shitload of per raid (at least 20 for a ~4-5 hour raid going through the first time) require 2 Roses each as well. Fuck Alchemy this expansion. The cherry on top is that Felwort is our daily quest reagent and it's used in fuck all. Just the Trinket that's not even good. So I have stacks of this shit that I'll never use. Sure, it's used by other professions, but why do I care? | ||

Trinket is decent! it's also a good way to dump materials into Obliterum since a trinket craft will get you 1 obliterum (2 if it procs double) | ||

Also as a herbalist I would never farm Starlight Roses just because I need them for something. I would farm (or generally do) whatever brings me most gold and then buy the roses. People regarding materials different from gold although they can be easily exchanged into each other is one of my pet peeves in WoW. | ||

If I was your friend I would not make a single flask for you for free. Why would anyone do that? It is the same as gifting someone gold. Firstly i've known the guy for half of our lives and given him like a hundred euros worth of gold (token price) in the last 3 months, secondly i didn't say "free" anywhere in that post. He's just struggling to make any amount of potions/flasks for even one person despite gathering for hours. It bugs me too, time is money; a penny saved is a penny earned etc. We just don't take currency as seriously when it comes to friends! It's cool to have your own ecosystem with trading all personal loot drops to a disenchanter, mats to crafters etc without going through the AH as well. We just only have one herb guy right now | ||

Eh that was not quite the point. The point was about herbs = gold, so if I was your friend and you were poor or whatever I would just give you gold to buy flasks with. And specifically farming herbs should almost never be worth it. I gather on the side while questing and otherwise I just buy what I need. Btw the best herb farming I have seen was from the plant mobs around darkheart thicket entrance. They give herbs (and blood) like a normal herb node but there are a lot of them. And if there is a world quest you dont even need to kill them yourself. | ||

How can it not be profitable to go herbing roses currently? Northern Suramar is completely full of roses and most of them can be picked without agroing anything. From what i've heard most herbs give you a bunch and the suramar ones only have a coinflip chance of giving you a single herb. At those prices it still seems like it could be good. | ||

They are and will stay as the most expensive herb whole expansion as they are needed in all of the most important raid consumables, flasks and dps/dreamless sleep potions. Like I waited for some guildies to finish a last boss fight in a hc to group up with them afterwards and gathered 40 roses while waiting since I was in suramar already. That's 3600 gold in a few minutes. Boring as shit though. Also, wtf am I supposed to do with these order resources? I now have over 60k of them with all possible research going on. WTB a trader that sells crafting mats for resources. | ||

The actual point I wanted to make was "Dont farm what you need, do what makes you most gold then buy what you need." If that which makes most gold is farming Starlight Roses sure it makes sense to do that. | ||
