You basically said, Idra should be able to be banned from a tournament for calling someone dumb. That, is in fact, pretty moronic in my eyes. Your defending Orison's abuse of his power as a mod.
The problem here is that no one likes Idra, so no one gives a shit when he gets fucked over.
If this happened to Mondi we'de have half of Germany storming the gates as we speak.

i don't mind idra at all. he's let me obs his games as a random smurf a bunch of times and posts advice in the strategy forum. basically, it's quite stupid of a gg.net admin to kick someone out of a tourney due to his own personal bias.

No I didn't. I just showed that Idra admitted to being bad manner to his opponent for no apparent reason and then saying he shouldn't suffer any consequence. I didn't say anything specifically about what his punishment should be. Don't say thing you aren't sure of. EDIT: In my opinion if Idra in fact was Bad Manner to his opponent, other opponents before him and GosuGamers Staff; he got what he deserved if not then it's a problem with an admin that should be solved.

Idra, you're a pretty hard guy to get along with. Pretty arrogant and demeaning toward others, and consistently at that. I base this on your posting here. Don't get me wrong, we all have our moments, myself included. Sometime these moments get us into trouble.
That having been said, banning Idra from the tournament is completely unacceptable in my eyes. If they didn't like him they never should have let him play at all, but once you let a guy into your tournament, you can't just boot him after he insults you.
So basically, Idra insulted Orison and Orison chose to react like a prepubesent little girl and kick him out.
Is Idra BM? Yeah, probably. Is that reason to kick him out? Absolutely not. He won the games, and based on the SS that Idra posted its pretty obvious to me that Orison knew and acknowledged his win, but dismissed him and abused his power as an admin to get back at him for calling him "dumb".
-_- My good god. I mean all the offense in the world when I say, Orison, clean the sand from your vagina and have some respect for the rules of your own tournament. The damn thing will lose all legitimacy in my eyes if Idra isn't allowed to play. This is a joke, and everyone at GG knows it. <hr>

That really didn't make sense to me.
Are friggin' moronic.
Well put. I completely agree. However, I would like to add that if he were to fix his bm, this probably wouldn't have happened in the first place.

Ok, pardon me. I just really grinds my gears when people put "manner" up on a pedestal and pretend it's the be all and end all. Most of my favourite BW players are the so called "bm guys", like most of my favourite MMA fighters are the loud mouths like Tito Ortiz.
I don't mind when they get shit on by people for being assholes...that's funny. But to start screwing with tournament results and stuff infuriates me.
Don't take it personally man. A lot of people expressed the same sentiment as you, there was no reason for me to single you out.

Idra's bm is a side issue that should not have resulted in a kick.
Idra shouldn't have been able to entered in the first place or atleast been given a real warning before the ban. You don't ban someone after they won their games in the semi's.
davidgurt, you're completely right. That's the difficulty of this situation. This would never happen to a guy like mondi, but it would take a player like him for people to care.
Simply. Idra has some problems with making relationships. Arrogant wannabe who has some skills (that is not making him nearly gosu at all). Not a miracle if people dont really like you.
What comes to GG.net admins and their decision in this case, i think it was wrong. Why ? Because he won his games. Also if GG-admins going to ban players from tournaments for being bm in future, they have to define term "bm" quite well. Idra is jerk but was bmness that bad ;o ?
Idra, you could of said "I'm playing my tourney match atm, go away" so admins would understood you better? Go live life and have relationships.. learn something about social life ;F.
k finished all the replays. idra owned his opponent and should be allowed to move on.
but he really is a piece of shit. did you read all the conversations? bmed his opponent (who was obviously trying sooo fucking hard), who afterwards still insists that idra still move on, and that there were 'no problems with the games.' and of course idra grabs at and hides behind this testimony.
jesus. mad props to only.leugim (any akas?) for being an amazing person. idra i wish you luck in this matter but remember who you step on =(
Eh, it's one thing to insult a player, but I don't think Tito Ortiz would insult a staff of the UFC or a referee for no reason. And if he does then he's no short of being a scumbag. As far as Idra's ban is concerned, GG Admin felt what he did calls for a ban from the tournament. Hate all you want the admin, i'm not going to judge whether he did is right or wrong though considering if I was in his position donating my time and effort to run this thing and some guy starts to insult me when I'm just doing my job, I don't know how I'd react. I don't think the decision should be changed or GG is at fault over this.
[Edit] There's no excuse insulting someone for no reason who's just doing his job, fuck Idra.
why are you using mondi as an example? he's mannered as far as anyone knows.
Let's say testie was acting like a prick. Good player, total shithead, the opinions would not be different. Mondi probably wouldn't do this, so it's moot to use his name in some argument against idra getting his own ass kicked out of a tournament.
These people go out of their way to organize a tournament (which is no small feat even online, it's annoying getting people together) and they have to suffer some faggots insults as well? No + fuck yourself thx

different person. mushioov was my 2nd or 3rd round opponent who was responding(and disproving) to orison's claim that my previous opponents complained about me. leugim logged off after the games.

ok i got some insight from the other peoples thoughts.
since i don't know Idra that well as most of you obviously do, i think i am one of the most objective persons here. (omg it's hard not to make that sound arrogant, sorry)
we mostly agree that it was by no means fair nor necessary to kick him out of the tournament. then someone should do something about it.
we could talk on here forever, but that won't change anything. whether he deserved it or not doesn't matter. he should apologize towards his opponent, who stayed more mannered than you could ever expect. and then the final should be replayed.
I think Idra has a point about how the admin could have easily used the command /where to find leugum or whatever his name is. Even so, I'm not sure being BM to an admin is even enough to be disqualified from a tournament. I also understand the annoyance of being whispered while playing a game, especially when the admin could have avoided it in the first place. Responding to someone not on your friends list is time consuming and distracting, and we know a few seconds is precious in this game.
If you disagree with my justification for Idra's BM, then I have to go back to the point I made about whether being BM is enough to get disqualified. If you think BM is enough to be disqualified from a tournament, there is nothing else I can say.

1. Idra is bm we all know this. The BW community generally allows bm, the question is should it? 'bm' actions like this are not put up with in the real world and there are consequences for them should this not be true for bw as well?
2. Idra did not have to pay anything to get into the tournment so he does not really have much to complain about in my opinion.
3. This could have easily been avoided by Idra simply answering the admin with some respect.
While I admit this probably wasn't the greatest reason to kick him from the tournment I think we can all agree it is much nicer to play when everyone is mannered.
