The Pats coaching staff does very clearly know how to get hte most out of what they have, which is the best thing about Bellichek and crew. Whatever they scheme each week, everyone buys in, everyone is used to the best of their ability. Indy this year, when they run well, they seem to do it at the expense of the passing game or vice versa. The plays that are called never seem to consistently be good plays for the perosnnel that is out there. And then on top of that there seems to be brain farts or just bad defensive play every week. I would not say that the difference there is so much so that you can't play heads up, but I think the Pats are considerably better than the Colts right now. The Colts, to me, are a product of a really good qb in a bad division, and not much else.

It's not any different with line, but some how the narrative has become 'linemen suck now' vs 'NFL GMs continue to think they are smarter than they are'. Picking up a guy from a spread or one cut offense, and asking him to power block or hold for a 7 step drop vs a 1 read is a massive difference. That's why teams have always had boners for guys in pro style offenses. You don't get weird shit like QBs like Kap, Alex Smith, Tannehill, Tebow, etc who never took a snap under center, linemen who are totally one dimensional, etc. also yeah, brady and rodgers decent - what??

Also, I found it hilarious that the commentators said Pagano was "betting on himself" with his declining the 1 year extension and then the ineptitude of his coaching/staff showing through. Changing away form those quicker passes (which were having decent success), running that punt formation, the defense leaving gronk wide open in the fourth... Honestly if they hadn't gotten away with holding Jones in the first half (rewatching I saw 7 obvious penalties) and the Patriots having to play musical linemen he might be on the verge of losing his job.

EDIT: It is almost as fun as watching Coughlin carpet bomb his sideline with F-Bombs like he did after that third turnover.

Horrible clock management at the end there, despite the Giants doing everything they could to help them move up the field.
