I hate to point out the obvious but if your on probation in all European nations, to get permission to travel out of the country and a passport is not easy unless your mother is dying or your going to a funeral etc..it definitvely shows when applying for the paperwork, visa & passport, to travel by air.. etc.. so if he indeed was on parole it is odd he made it to Korea.
rekrul acts all wangsta in poker forums but he is a decent guy that did help suncow and would have helped him more had suncow gone about it the right way.. or at the very least had he been "normal".. one can not hold it against rek that he has healthy self preservation , which is something he has a very good nose for..

Honestly though. If I may get serious for a moment. Sometimes people have untreatable problems. What they need aren't solutions, but rather assistance.
To rek: (for saying he responded to Suncow with advice) When you give advice you assume the position of power. You assume the position of "the wise" and it makes the other person feel powerless. You've acknowledged (yourself) that Suncow had self-esteem issues and such. Hence, does it make sense to you to advise him or to sit there and be someone he can talk to. SOmeone he can talk with, rather than someone, liek everyone else in his life, who judges him and provides "advice". Sometimes it all people need is for someone else to "pick them up". They don't need advice (even though it may seem so), but someone who will listen and will allow them to talk through their problems. This is how therapists do it.
Now, I'm not saying you're a therapist or that anyone had responsibilities towards Suncow, but one day, when it happens to you, when no one is listening and everyone's advising, then, maybe then, you'll understand Suncow.
