This is interesting, so much for public support of the terrorists:

ah yes, another nyxisto special, where he, in response to me calling bs on some claim, attributes the extreme opposite of that claim to me and cries about it. that makes it 3 now i think? always a pleasure.

any kremlin agent simply needs to round up roughly 20, so f.ex 15 people or 'human rights activists', and trade a gru sponsored vodka for an endorsement of the referendum. voila, we have foolproof evidence that the referendum is legit.

@mc
usaid and ned are two of the agencies in question. i made it perfectly clear why it is problematic. i'm not gonna fall for your dyslectic dialectic again.

@roman
amazing how this works. it's like clockwork.
i say one thing about something / someone, and then you misread it, invert it, and attribute it to me, and blame me for you doing it!
ahahah.

I can bet that 25th May election will be more fair and honest than Crimea/Donbass hoaxes. You can't be more dishonest than it was there, even your government admitted that Crimea hoax had in reality 50% of support with 30% turnout (around 15% of population) opposite to official 95% with over 80% of turnout.

Source: http://www.president-sovet.ru/news/6024/

i already wrote several times that president council consist mostly of opposition and USA worshipers and i'm surpized their "data" didn't show 95% of crimeans want to be with Ukraine
those ppl in that council in 90s wanted and openly declared Russia must have no army, no factories and give oil and gas for free in the name of democracy etc.

Yeah no, i don't buy it.

On May 5th, the Russian President's Human Rights Council posted a report to their site about human rights in Crimea based on interviews with roughly 20 local human rights activists conducted over the course of two and a half days.[132] The report estimated that a "vast majority of the citizens of Sevastopol voted in favor of unification with Russia in the referendum (50-80%); in Crimea, various data show that 50-60% voted for unification with Russia, with a turnout of 30-50%," suggesting that only 15-30% of Crimeans actually voted for annexation.[133][134]. On 7 May the Council stated that the report was not an official position of the Council.[135]
wiki

i wouldn't buy it either, looks shaky.

So you are saying that official results of Crimean referendum are fair and square?

and you are saying that 20 human right activists know better?

Nope. I am saying that Crimean referendum has been doctored, and just gave an example source.

How in the gods name Putin has foreign agents on his official council? Please explain that to me, the very notion of Russian councils to Russian president being infiltrated is disturbing, what the fuck your counterintelligence is doing?

Roman, you will not believe what i will tell you now
i'd never believe it myself but i witnessed it

can you imagine main TV channels in your country telling you every day that you suck, you are dirty pig, you are useless, you country is evil dirty shithole and always been and it will never be good
you are guilty in everything bad what happened to this world etc.

hard to believe, eh?
but that's how russian TV portrayed the reality in 90's
once again - i'd never believe it myself but i saw it with my eyes and listened with my own ears day by day
during chechen war one of the top 3 channels portrayed chechens and terrorist from all over the world who helped them as heroes and russian army forces as murderers

every position in goverment was secured by people whos only mission was to destroy anything could help Russia to be better

there is a lot of those ppl right now too!

hell, Putin is one of them, but all of a sudden he decided to betray our pro-western elite and do something for Russia instead of only stealing, wrecking and pleasing US/EU

so here is the answer to your question

Paleman has gone off the deep end lol. So apparently Russian TV tells paleman that he sucks, is an dirty pig, is useless, is an evil dirty shithole and always been and it will never be good. This is proof in Paleman's universe that the Crimean referendum has not been doctored. Paleman, do you ever get cognitive dissonance, or do you just ignore it?

Nono, you don't understand. That was in the 90s. Now they have the great leader Putin, who made sure that all media is objective and tells russians how great russia is.

Considering some DNR officials recently made public plans to nationalize the property of oligarhs with "wrong political views", that was kind of expected.

Poroshenko is close to win in the first round. According to SOCIS poll, Poroshenko gets 34%, Tymoshenko 6.5%, Tygybko 5.8%, but 23.4% were undecided аnd 11.7% would not go to the elections. If those are taken out, Poroshenko gets slightly over 50%.

According to SBU, Russian news are using 25th frame methodology to influence viewers. In a press conference they showed in slow motion some of the footage which had small notes periodically appearing on the screen. Notes: "Right Sector put it on fire", "Right Sector is killing", "benderites are killing".

An appeal from DNR officer to Putin

Sorry can't translate now. There is a small description on it's youtube page.
Appeal to Putin: In Russia must rule the king. No matter how he is called. We need help in weapon equipment, in order not to lose our soldiers in the melee but destroy the enemy at a distance. Please open the corridor for those who want to protect Holy Russia.

According to 1+1 news, he is wanted in Russia for attempted murder.

To me it seems like the separatist movement is losing steam in the East. Slavyansk is their stronghold where they are holding on, but regardless of how incompetent the Ukrainian army it seems to advancing, while the rebel leaders are giving nervous interviews about lack of support and traitors. Other cities have already been retaken.

I feel like the resolution will be capitulation from separatists plus elections. I think the elections will (or at least) should be post-poned until the separatists capitulate. I'd bet that within a month there will be elections and within two weeks the separatists will be defeated. Maybe I'm an optimist

Nervous yup yup yup . Well yeah, it took a long time, but they're finally realizing Russia doesn't give a fuck about them. Nor do I (or ever did) see any serious reason Russia would ever intervene unless the Ukrainian govt. was massacring people Ottoman-style. These places are so ridiculously poor and unstable and corrupt, it's depressing. The only reason Russia would ever have to step foot anywhere inside is to see how long it would take for the armored columns to meet up for tea time with the paratroopers in Kiev, but obviously, no one (well, almost no one) treats military conflict so ludicrously.
Yeah, let's see who wins the election. Porkyshenko or Queen Cersei Lannister Tymoshenko. Either way, Ukraine is fucked, as unfortunate as it is

Agree with pretty much everything except that Poroshenko should win easily unless something drastic happens. Tyomshenko won't win regardless. And I wouldn't characterize Ukraine as "fucked" necessarily. They have a chance to try and introduce economic/democratic reforms and if you've hit rock-bottom you can only go up

Yeah, my mind had slipped for a second and I forgot just how ahead Poroshenko was. They're not at rock-bottom though. That's what worries me. Rock-bottom is like Iraq in 2003 (or even now for that matter lol :/ ). I hope things go up. No one deserves to live that impoverished.

Well, that's the impression I've got from some Russian posters here. I didn't mean the Russian leadership ofc, I imagine they are quite realistic.

For Russia, this means opening up the other side of the Eurasian world for business, as they steadily re-construct other industries/services. Nonetheless, in an ideal future, there wouldn't be US/Russia shit-flinging and conflicts of interest, Russia would join the European Union, and there would be a more legitimate Eurocentric bloc.

I don't see how Russia can develop other industries without access to foreign capital and expertise and with the threat of more extensive sanctions hanging over their head. Plus there's unfavourable demographics and increased military spending all taking money away from investment.

A few of the Russian guys are a bit amusing. I'll say that. They're some guys here like that, but I'm actually used to them. The Russian version of this is not something I come across daily and in real life, so it's astonishing everytime

I can't speak for other things, but when it comes to oil, their getting all the capital and expertise they need lol. The amount of development going on, especially in the Far East unsurprisingly (like Sakhalin for example) is immense. Most other areas of development are still "budding", so to speak, but with time, those things will come. I realize the USA will be 100% against this, but if there will come a day where Russian policy will be geared into Euro-integration and a disjoint European bloc, rather than something like EU and then something like NATO run by USA, it will infinitely benefit Russia and many other European countries. However, as long as there's Russia/US shitflinging and Imperial Majesties in Russia (and to a lesser degree, US), this won't happen But also, there's a lot of smart people in Russia. Russia was a "developed" country that had huge economic and political collapses. They're not some random country that never knew what technology was. They're radically different from other of what we would consider to be developing countries. They're certainly not anywhere near as lacking in human resources as most other developing countries are.

================================================================================

Gas deals? ;D
The problem is, China tries to get a ridiculously low price on anything (including with these gas deals), while exporting things for much higher than their value (but is still cheap thanks to practically having slave labor). I cannot at all blame Russian corporations for not agreeing to a deal. Funnily enough, I know a couple petro/chemical engineers who were on assignment in China on refineries. Once the Chinese company they were working with knew everything they needed to know to finish it, they basically kicked 'em out. lol >_> China has a strategy of paying a lot less than everyone else does and "self-development" by practically stealing methodologies and technologies from foreign engineers/scientists. If Russia agrees to a cheap deal with China, not only would it be terribly stupid, but then other nations would complain that China pays less than they do. It would stir up some drama. lol

Also, at the risk of sounding like a smartass, but Aviadarts is done in Voronezh province (at least it was last year). So telling the Russians they can't hold exercises where they have before is ridiculous. Obviously, there's a twist!! ...

... the timing is interesting obviously It's also a bit earlier than it was last year. LOL those sneaky Russians. But seriously, where should they hold drills? Northeastern Siberian tundra? lol jk
We (USA) have huge amounts of military forces right on the border with Mexico (for one example, see: San Diego County). In fact, the military forces in the aforementioned county alone can most likely conquer Mexico.
The Mexicans know we're not going to invade (even though we could easily make a justification from all the drug peddling and violence from their cartels/gangs here), so they're not worried. Russia appears to have zero intentions of invading eastern Ukraine, so I don't think the new regime should worry when the exercises take place. I don't see how random military exercises far away affects what's going on with their politics, unless they feel that separatists will watch videos of the military exercises and go full jihad-mode or something. While that is a valid concern in maybe a couple regards, it seems more to serve the purpose of Ukraine's propaganda than to make an actual point.

Ukraine's military is so incompetent that it's actually winning the propaganda war (the one that counts). The Russian narrative of the Kiev government as power-hungry "fascists" is being invalidated by the incompetence of the Ukrainian military.

Title says it all:

http://news.yahoo.com/russian-reporters-held-ukraine-had-missiles-us-221417508.html

Russian "journalists" are captured in East Ukraine with anti-aircraft missiles.

Of course this does not necessarily mean that Russia is involved in arming the separatists. Perhaps they're just random journalists who carry anti-aircraft missiles for personal protection. After all, we have to be fair and objective. Just because the Russians supported the separatists in Crimea does not necessarily mean they support the separatists in East Ukraine. We must keep an open mind. Journalism in Russia is very different from journalism in the West. Perhaps it's standard policy for Russian journalists to carry anti-air capabilities.

I wonder how the ukrainians will react once they find out they were amoung the two countries that have been on full survaillance by the NSA since 2012. All the implications.

Just tinfoiling here.

There are more sources that Russia is involving its journalists in the war:

This is especially despicable as journalists need to be seen as independent bystanders for their own protection. This endangers the lives of thousands of journalists around the world. Which probably suits the Kremlin just perfect.
