Blizzard announced the WCS 2014 format today; WCS Korea will be solely broadcast by GomTV and OGN's Starleague will cease. After KeSPA switched to SC2, OSL had switched to SC2 as well, but only held 2 tournaments in 2 years.
Blizzard explained that this decision was made due to the reality in Korea. According to analysis, due to OSL's own schedule, they ignored Blizzard's group stage format and changed the Ro32 to single elimination, which caused the biggest problem. Also, Blizzard wanted to have 1 company hold all the WCS Korea tournaments so the audience would not be confused.
Blizzard also said in the notice that WCS would no longer broadcast WCS. They would instead broadcast Hearthstone shows and tournaments.
Most of OGN's Starcraft commentators will transition to Hearthstone. If Hearthstone competitions were to be organized, we can expect TheMarine and GoRush to form the commentary team.
