I was just reading the box to the original Starcraft that has basic facts about the Starcraft units. A hydra is 5.8 meters or 17.7 feet. A marine also weighs 130 kg with all his equipment I assume and they are only 5'9" (180 cm). I used to have arguments with friends who would say "It would be awesome to have a zergling as a pet!" I would have to correct them that a zergling is as tall as them and could rip their head off. The zerg have proven to be able to infiltrate terran ranks (Duran). The protoss have not done this yet.Their culture and mindset is not favourable to perform espionage, sabotage, misinformation. If circumstancesforce the protoss to look for uncoventional methods of warfare a creative bold protoss might pursue this path with the help of dark archons but it might be a long process to convice them to help in these plans. Countermeassures - The zerg are vulnarable to irradiate. Further research could lead to better bioweapons. A further weakness is their dependancy on a central commandstructure and the loss of innitiative without it. There is a need to undertsnd the biology and neurology on infestation and a method to test humans if they are infested or not. Agents that dissolve creep? - EMP works well on protoss. Nor do we have sexy medics that heals near death soldiers in mere seconds. Just think vanila sc and youll see how effective our marines would be. | ||

Confederate forces are way too weak to compete with either zerg or protoss directly. The best they can do is offer support to the protoss - who were losing miserably and would probably be dead w/o terran support. If earth alliance and confederacy joined forces though....humanity ftw | ||

The names they give weapons are not accurate at all. The anti-matter torpedo thing at least should be as powerful as nukes. Like come on...>_> And the protoss can afford to warp in a pylon, why can't they use all that energy to, say, fire a big ass ball of plasma up the overmind's brain? Zerg really can't do much except through biological warfare (infecting via microorganisms) since they rely on chemical energy, whereas the other two races (should) have advanced nuclear energy sources. A protoss-esque race would be the aliens from independence day the movie, except with greater access to energy and stuff. I dont really get protoss fighting philosophy anyways, apparantly they'd rather use guys running around with advanced clubs and shamans casting weird spells instead of the antimatter torpedos and zomgdeathcannons. | ||
