And I really want the total money paid victims of faulty police shootings families nationwide. I bet that number is staggering.

I can't understand the people stating that Hillary is so dishonest that they could never vote for her and then praise or defend Trump.
The only platform Trump has, is being against everything. Trump is the equivalent to the Brexit, to the german AFD, to every party that stated "vote for us if you are pissed". And as the AFD, Trump adds to that great message all the crap he can get away with that will lure in bigots and extremists from the right. The only difference is, that Trump is delivering the message by yelling sentences like "i am great with the blacks!".
How can anyone argue that he will be good for the country? He has not shown ONE single piece of evidence that he is capable of anything except get all the people behind him who are frustrated with "the establishment".
If you want to vote for him, do it and stay to the thruth.
A) You are stupid and believe in the myth of a platform he has created. B) You just want to show your political class the middlefinger and you don't care what happens afterwards. C) You believe most Mexicans are rapists, Nato can be renegotiated or you really want to start a war on Islam.
Cut the shit.

I'd guess convicted 3% charged 50% fired 75% lesser penalty than those 20% nothing 5%

This is correct. Trump was direct and earnest in a way that basically no politician ever is in a speech. I found it very enjoyable, even when I disagreed with what he was actually saying.

Cut the shit. High levels of cognitive bias can make many things true from their perspective. Add in lots of vague interpretable statements by trump; and a strong distaste of people who vet/verify statements, and there you have it.

Trump seems to have waited deliver his shitstorm to this morning rather than last night.

Seriously if I was part of the Clinton camp I would hold off on the VP pick just so the media can cover this guy.

Cut the shit. General anger at the current government and its unable to address basic issues facing the country projected on someone that they believe to be part of that system. And an active and calculated effort by the GOP to stoke that anger and reinforce the view that Clinton is the root of the “problem”. No specific issue that the voter wants addressed is her fault, but the Problem as an abstraction caused by her and other insiders.
It is just a question if that sort of rhetoric stands up to whatever policies and plans the Democrats put out there next week and in the coming months.

Donald Trump took what was supposed to be a celebratory speech Friday thanking volunteers after the Republican National Convention and used it to skewer his rival Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), digging up virtually every high-profile feud the two had in the primary.
Standing alongside his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, Trump lit into Cruz, saying that he was the only one in the convention hall who didn't want to unify the Republican Party and that his defiance would ruin him professionally.
In Cruz's Wednesday night RNC speech, he told GOPers to "vote with their conscience," which many took to be a Trump dig and drew loud boos from the gathered delegates.
"Somebody got booed the hell out of a place by thousands and thousands of people," Trump said. "There wasn't one person in the room -- not one. And then they said there may not be unity. Unity? There wasn't one person in the room, including the Texas delegation, right? Honestly, he may have ruined his political career. I feel so badly. I feel so badly."
As bad as he claimed to feel, Trump made it clear he does not need Cruz on his side to win the presidency.
"You know, he'll come and endorse over the next little while," he said. "He'll — because he has no choice. But I don't want his endorsement. What difference does it make? And I don't want his endorsement. I have such great -- I don't want his endorsement. Just -- Ted, stay home, relax, enjoy yourself."
"Again, I don't want his endorsement," he said. "If he gives it, I will not accept it. Just so you understand. If he gives it -- I will not accept it."
The real estate mogul then circled back to old Cruz insults that have gotten him in trouble, from the conspiracy theory that Cruz's father was somehow involved with JFK assassin Lee Harvey Oswald to a meme he retweeted mocking Heidi Cruz's appearance. Trump also said that the National Enquirer, which published the bizarre and totally unsubstantiated story about Rafael Cruz and Oswald, should win a Pulitzer Prize.
Keeping the attacks against Cruz coming, Trump claimed that the Texas senator went off of his prepared "boring" remarks to make his anti-Trump stand on the RNC stage. The businessman said that was a betrayal.
"(He) made a statement that wasn't on the speech and then went back to his speech," he said. "See, to me, that's dishonorable. To me, not signing a pledge is dishonorable, okay? It's dishonorable. Not a nice thing to do. And I talk this way, because we're all together."

Really? I guess some people find a lack of oratory skills and no polish endearing, but with all his made-up words and third grade vocabulary, his speeches are already being made fun of as frequently as GWB's were... And for good reasons. Yes, he's not politically correct... But he can't speak for shit. And it's odd to me, considering his kids are good speakers.

I'm so tired of the term 'cognitive dissonance' being thrown around on an hourly basis by both sides, that even when used correctly no one takes it seriously anymore. It's the 2016 'dunning-kruger effect', phrases overused as a blanket one sentence dismissal that lose all meaning.

I am reading on twitter that he is defending the remarks that Cruz’s father was part of the JFK assassination and that no one disapproved of the remarks. Live on CNN.

When asked in a town hall a while back what his weakness was, trump said: "I never let things go". Saying he never forgives people who cross him. Pretty sure Cruz is going to be reminded ad nauseum by trump anytime he does anything political in the future

Have you ever worked with an oral communications expert before? What Trump did is basically what you're supposed to do when dealing with the masses, with some delivery ticks that make him unique and thus more memorable.

Even if Trump loses, I don't see Cruz being well-positioned to be the nominee in 2020. First, Cruz is bereft of allies in the party. Second, the republican party was redefined last night. Cruz isn't going to fit the mold that Trump has created.
