I think the Swarm Host is definitely going to go through some changes in the beta. I know people keep posting editor-based videos of a ton of them sieging down a base, but the reality falls way short of that. In the HotS Custom tournament streamed on HD Starcraft, it seems every time a Zerg builds Swarm Hosts, he loses the game.
The existence of a food chain is inescapable if we evolved unsupervised, and inexcusable otherwise.

And for the past 2 years, simple units have made Meching almost impossible in TvP, every single freaky Toss units are great against mech, excpet maybe the sentry. I don't even want to talk about Skyterran with high Templar tech.

TvP Match-up will maybe change a lot. And toss will be forced to play Sky in TvP ? i'd say GREAT ! For once, i'll maybe have some FUN in this Match-up. Not relying on stupid opponents, or All-ining every TvP. Like, maybe almost all Ladder terran are doing right now.

in WoL. terran have been forced to certain tech path cause of Toss units. In Hots, Protoss will be forced to certain tech path cause of Terran units. For once, Terran will dictate unit composition in a game.

I think I love warhound now just because of the panicking that it's causing in some of the protoss players on this thread. I don't know if I've ever seen a unit inspire so much terror except for maybe the new mine. Oh no terran's getting something good besides the marine, nerf it!! So funny. Immortal's still going to be as ridiculous as it is now vs mech, don't worry boys.

Yeah thats how the game works. If you build only tier 1 units and i only tier 2, than i win in maxed vs maxed situiations.
what you dont consider is that it is easier to build stalkers than warhounds. and when you have stargate tech, they are useless.

But I'm not talking just T1. Warhound melts everything in the Robo Facility (except colossus is harder to get due to range). Both warhound and battle hellion are tanky and beefy, so aoe is not very effective against them. The only reason protoss could stop warhound rushes in hots custom is because mothership core's purify was even more OP.

And when you get starport with reactor, any stargate tech is useless.

And yeah, I get it, the new units are currently stronger than they will be post-release for obvious reasons. Warhounds are beastly right now to encourage terran players messing with them in beta

I think abduct shouldn't work versus all massive units but at least versus ultra's, possibly collussi (might be too strong). But not versus mothership, thor(?), etc.

And who would ever want to use consume? Why'd I want to damage my own buildings? It's going to depend heavily on how much energy you get per health you consume. Because I can't imagine which building I'd want to damage. Consuming units, like zerglings would have been incredibly useful. Buildings doesn't seem that good on a first glance.
