According to the report, on Oct. 21 staffers monitoring a security camera at Dr. Michael M. Its a good thing we took care of him then i guess, cant have wtf's all over the place. Seriously, you gonna haul out zimmermans 5th grade report card and try to argue that he's an outstanding citizen? Relevence bro? None. wtf does going to school with a screw driver make it justified to chase and shoot someone when they beat ur ass for being nosy? Stop fearing the guy living next door and carrying guns and this stuff won't happen so much. Don't bother replying, ur wrongness isnt open to debate.

why is it so shocking to you that a young atheltic kid could beat up a fat, asthmatic guy? You think 100 (more like 60-70) pound differences makes a difference if it's all fat? That isn't even taking into account who has any sort of experience fighting. I'm pretty sure you are being the most ridiculous by making unsubstantiated claims about 'who could win a hypothetical fight in your head' and ignoring the information that's come out to the contrary.

I *think* the point of the story is to laugh at all of the initial reports and media spin that martin was just a little kid trying to get some candy. I don't think the poster was saying he deserved to be shot or go through this situation because of his troublesome past.

maybe im missing it, but where did this new information about how the confrontation start come from? are the police saying zimmerman said this to them?

The neighborhood had burglaries recently and that was why Zimmerman was on the lookout. Maybe Zimmerman was not wrong when he thought Trayvon looked like the type of character who might be up to no good.

entirely true, but what does that story contribute to figuring out what happened? nothing, he is doing the exact thing he is raging about, speculating on some 3rd or 4th hand info that really doesnt relate to the story. 'Well he must be shady because he does graffiti and carries a screwdriver' ? Stick to the relevant facts.
edit: my bad, i didnt relize that zimmerman was going thu this kids school record and was profiling him not based on appearence but on his highschool career. sorry...

The fact that a completely innocent kid got killed for no reason. Or the fact that all these apologists are trying to defend the killer. Or the fact that the killer is still free and hasn;t even been arrested!
I have no faith in humanity anymore. based on the state of the facts, i think it is perfectly reasonable for someone to say "this guy is guilty, should be arrested and tried for manslaughter." i also think it is pretty reasonable to say "this guy looks like he acted in self defense and the police took the correct approach and didn't arrest them." i do not think it is reasonable to say "the former are morons" or "the latter are apologists." especially when you dont back up anything you have to say with facts or argument.

As suspected, this story is the product of the media sensationalizing a tragic event by failing to report all the facts and purposefully painting a picture that did not exist. Its disgusting that so many scumbags have come out of the woodwork to use this ripe and ready media martyr to push their own agendas.

Poor, innocent Trayvon was only guilty of wearing a hoodie and eating some skittles. Oh and also burglary, vandalism, drug use and aggravated assault.

What do football players regularly do? Tackle other football players. They are VERY capable of winning a fight. If you think football players can't win a fight, you have no idea what football is.

And how would Zimmerman know any of that information beforehand?

And that's why he deserved to get shot for no real reason. Oh wait ...
Let's keep this shit in perspective. Trayvon is still the victim here. Even if Trayvon initiated the fight, he had no motive to attack Zimmerman until Zimmerman confronted him. What exactly happened at that point, no one really knows.

And it looks like Trayvon was right to be suspicious of Zimmerman, if you look at his preoccupations with young black males and run-ins with the law.
I'm not sure what your trying to prove or argue here, Zaqwe.

I think Orlando Sentinel is the only paper to report this ... maybe they got access to early police reports.

What's coming out now says that Zimmerman was the one who was confronted. Zimmerman was on his way back to his car when Trayvon asked him if he had a problem, then told him he did once Zimmerman said he didn't have a problem. This is also said to be aligned with eyewitness reports.

Police: Zimmerman says Trayvon decked him with one blow then began hammering his headZimmerman told them he lost sight of Trayvon and was walking back to his SUV when Trayvon approached him from the left rear, and they exchanged words. Trayvon asked Zimmerman if he had a problem. Zimmerman said no and reached for his cell phone, he told police. Trayvon then said, "Well, you do now" or something similar and punched Zimmerman in the nose, according to the account he gave police. Zimmerman fell to the ground and Trayvon got on top of him and began slamming his head into the sidewalk, he told police. http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2012-03-26/news/os-trayvon-martin-zimmerman-account-20120326_1_miami-schools-civil-rights-punch

He wasn't shot for no reason. He attacked someone. It's a pretty big difference. Attempting to crack someone's skull open is reason enough to get shot.
