NaNiwa not invited to Code S - Page 23

While I understand that there's a need to discuss this matter, this thread has way too many trash posts in it. Please think carefully about what you want to say. Ad hominem attacks on Swedish people in general, calling you fellow Starcraft fans idiots etc etc will be dealt with with harsher punishment from here on out. Keep it civil people. Page 230: Here's some more stuff that'll get you banned! - Conspiracy theory mongering about MLG and GOM - Comparing people to Hitler - Posting useless one liners of arguments that have already been repeated ad nauseum.

BTW, it seems that there actually rules against what Naniwa's did, as posted by TBO and CryingPoo in the other thread: If Naniwa is viewed as disrespectful to his opponent and viewer then it would be fit with the second rule, and again they can deny entry as they want from the first place. This ^ Agree 100%. What he did was disrespectful and completely unprofessional. The punishment is justified.

The Naniwa punishment was by far overboard.

Naniwa cares about getting 1st, there's a huge difference between that and caring only about prize money. I've heard so many say this about Naniwa, but never once from him. Honestly this feels like some self-justification for being unprofessional he tells his friends and I don't really see anything that makes this theory more legitimate then him simply being oblivious and selfish.

I dont even think that behaviour would have flown at any big western tournament like MLG. I applaud GOMTV and MrChae for maintaining the high standard of players in the GSL tournaments.

Given the way he's been playing lately, he might actually qualify for Code A.

The punishment was obviously going to come. =T If it's true that he hold them he intended to forfeit GOM seriously should have warned him beforehand that this would be what they were gonna do. Once again.... such a horrible move by GOM, it's amazing how quickly they can blow away all their respect with one move.

GOM isn't to blame for Naniwa essentially rage quitting out of their tournament after he got massacred in his previous matches. Naniwa doesn't have a professional enough demeanor to play in GOM's tournaments and as far as I'm concerned if he's capable of doing this once he's capable of doing it again. GOM's call to make. It's their seed to hand out. If Naniwa doesn't want to play for it in the Blizzard Cup I know there are plenty of players as good or better than he is in the Code A up and downs that would've played out that match he threw for that spot. GOM pays their players just for BEING in Code S, they treat their players well enough for them to tolerate a sup optimal format. the MLG has a worse format and pays its players less. Good riddance. I don't usually argue with people on the internet, but your post is pretty uninformed and I hope that by pointing it out to you, you'll put more thoughts into what you say next time. First of all, just because other people players would act differently doesn't make Naniwa's actions wrong. This is a really big logical mistake that people make all the time and it annoys me a lot. Second, I don't think you watched his games at all. In fact, I'm sure of it. He did not get massacred at all, all his previous games were pretty close. Third, just because he did it once, doesn't mean he'll do it again. I believe chances are pretty big he won't do it again if they gave him a severe warning. You're implying people are incapable of change, which I hope isn't true, otherwise this post will have been useless.

I guess you guys aren't capable of respecting other peoples' opinions. Especially the ones that matter (that is, GOM staff as a whole). Seriously? Yes, GSL will go on without me. This has nothing to do with not accepting GOMs decision, it's about not supporting it. The way to do it is by not paying.
