What rule did he break?
NaNiwa not invited to Code S - Page 22

While I understand that there's a need to discuss this matter, this thread has way too many trash posts in it. Please think carefully about what you want to say. Ad hominem attacks on Swedish people in general, calling you fellow Starcraft fans idiots etc etc will be dealt with with harsher punishment from here on out. Keep it civil people. Page 230: Here's some more stuff that'll get you banned! - Conspiracy theory mongering about MLG and GOM - Comparing people to Hitler - Posting useless one liners of arguments that have already been repeated ad nauseum.

Seemed to be okay there to not show your best players. They might have not been their A-team but they sure didn't throw away games like Naniwa did.

Naniwa cares about getting 1st, there's a huge difference between that and caring only about prize money. Plus now he decided to only compete in GSL which is pretty much horrible to do solely for the money unless you win it.

and GOM responds by treating him with the same respect they were given. Fine by me. Naniwa needs to realize that he's representing more than just his own skill when he gets up on that stage. Just because prize money and titles aren't on the line doesn't mean you're representing your team or the host event any less. If you agree to the terms of the event then you agree to all of the subsequent matches that are part of it. Granted I disagree with the format. Hosting useless games is basically just filler, and while I can see that it's a good idea for stretching time, obviously issues like this can result. All in all, naniwa comes back in a season, doesn't probe rush, and all is forgotten.

I might even get your VOD's and spread them on internet. I don't care about killing e-sports if that's how it's ruled. Such a bunch of unfair people. I had respect GOM. I love IdrA, I hate Nani. But your rules need to change, and your states of mind too. *cough* Like the VODs are hard to find on the net ![]()

And Naniwa did tell GOM he intended to forfeit the game IIRC. Telling GOM that he intended to forfeit and GOM told him to play the match out...what does anyone expect to happen to naniwa after not playing the match out? The punishment was obviously going to come. =T

I have paid for almost every season so far, and then they go ahead and do this kind of shit? I am never ever watching another GSL event, and I am sure as hell not buying any more tickets. This is literally just shitting on their viewers. Do they really expect people to pay for their sevices, and get emotionally engaged in their players, when they just ban players on a whim? Not even a warning? Not a fine? GOMTV, I sincerely regret to ever have bought your services, and I feel utterly betrayed as a customer. I hope you are fucking happy. I think GOM wants to show good Starcraft. Not drone rushing. Fans are mad obviously

GSL will go on without you. I guess you guys aren't capable of respecting other peoples' opinions. Especially the ones that matter (that is, GOM staff as a whole). Seriously?

If so, you would understand that despite being in a losing and unwinnable situation, you still try your best. When the Lakers are whooping on the Clippers by 30 points with 2minutes left in the game, the refs don't just call it quits. The coach of the Clippers doesn't forfeit the game. The players still play the game out. It's called being sportsmanlike, and if you don't act that way you deserve the repurcussions given to you. Because they cant since theoretical something impossible could happen.. Like the munich vs manchester game.. But the referee finishes the game the moment the official time is over..
