NaNiwa not invited to Code S - Page 14

While I understand that there's a need to discuss this matter, this thread has way too many trash posts in it. Please think carefully about what you want to say. Ad hominem attacks on Swedish people in general, calling you fellow Starcraft fans idiots etc etc will be dealt with with harsher punishment from here on out. Keep it civil people. Page 230: Here's some more stuff that'll get you banned! - Conspiracy theory mongering about MLG and GOM - Comparing people to Hitler - Posting useless one liners of arguments that have already been repeated ad nauseum.

Progaming is about two things, being good at starcraft and having exposure. If you don't have exposure, how will people know you're a professional gamer let alone good at this game? Every pro will tell you marketing is just as important as your high skill in sc2, hence why personalities like Destiny and Catz make the same amount of money as the other top pros..

For example; "A player is not allowed to intentionally throw a match or perceiving to throw a match." With something like that I can see the punishment. However if this is just a matter of "honor" then I can't agree with this at all. This I 100% agree with and NaNiWa is one of my least fav players keep in mind.

Way to overshoot about five million times the correct response GOM... No more tickets from me anyway, I have lost all my enthusiasm for GSL. Good thing we really dont need Korea in SC2.

There's a difference between not giving it your all and 7-probe rushing, just as there's difference between saying that your food tasted like shit versus saying that maybe it had too much garlic or some shit.

you have to think that koreans take SC very seriously and its a HUGE part of their culture. so for Naniwa to do what he did, was probably seen as a major insult to all of the workers of GSL and Gomtv as well to all of the people who love starcraft there my2cents

To add on, Naniwa didnt even gg after his games vs FXOLucky

Looking forward to watching the games of whoever replaces him =) Sen replaces him so it's not that bad. BTW, it seems that there actually rules against what Naniwa's did, as posted by TBO and CryingPoo in the other thread: GomTV can deny your participation if you are found unfit to be a gamer. - 경기중에 과격한 행동으로 상대 게이머나 관중들에게 위협을 가할 때 - During a match, a player shall not offend the opponent or audience with abusive behaviours If Naniwa is viewed as disrespectful to his opponent and viewer then it would be fit with the second rule, and again they can deny entry as they want from the first place.

So EG or some other team can just pay GOM to put their player directly in Code S? Wow.. GOM really doesnt care about putting the best players in the world in Code S, they just want money. Retarded.

A bit silly to just say, 'it is their decision, respect it and buy a new ticket'. Not buying a new ticket might not show GOM a lot, at least it gives them an idea how the non-Korean scene things (at least partly) about this situation. Fact remains that Naniwa didn't break any rules of the GOM tournament, and that he has been punished for 'not being professionial', which is of course a stupid decision based on a single game. It is just KESPA all over again, and that is the last thing a StarCraft 2 player wants to see. But what I don't understand is why the people who DON'T agree with GOM's decision will opt to not watch the entire rest of the season. There are so much content and better players out there. I wouldn't compare KESPA with GOMTV but I'm sure they have similar views on what is considered not being professional and downright disrespectful
