wow, very nice patience you got there. ^^" I turned off as soon as they started proclaiming that they were going to talk shit and hence not to be taking seriously.
edit: anyways, probably not just my type of humor, in fact, I don't like starcraft personalities either that are popular because of their antics like that.

Halo players just don't have the zealous attitude of starcraft players. They "have" no real community like Teamliquid or Blizzard forums(Blizzard forums can be quite silly at times...).

^MLG forums are all about Halo. That is their TL or B.net. But then again you seem to be more interested in putting down other communities you know nothing about rather than stating actual facts.

Why would we sympathize we these people? A) the halo community is so small we gain nothing from it
B) they just come across as douche bags. I do NOT want these type of people in the sc2 community, they can stay put with their dying old game while we flourish with 100k tournaments every month.
Was anyone else in the chat at the MLG/redbull practice event? was just loads of halo players ripping on starcraft players, using generic insults like nerd etc.
Again, we shouldn't want these people in our community. I care 0.00000% about these generic "halo bros" and what they think of a real competitive game and it's community/better that is larger than theirs. Dmaq is a content worker for MLG and Nexy is the content director (head of all the shit that goes up) for MLG. I think you care about what they think. Nexy works on Black Ops at events. Dmaq works on Halo. But anyway, the Redbull Lan was filled with people bashing Halo too. Way more so. Nexy works on much more than Black Ops. They make video content for MLG outside of events too. Nexy also works for Astro, one of the primary sponsors for MLG.

hmmm... i mean... when i was at mlg me and my friends called everyone not play starcraft a halo fag ha. who really cares.

Can we all just agree we are upset about the trash talking? If you watch the whole thing everything except that 5-10 minutes is fine.

why would we care what they think? many mlg workers have made it pretty clear that they dont like sc2, its purely a business thing. they are all halo fans and the fact that they would even appear on a video saying these things, joking or otherwise, its disrespectful to their largest business partners.
mlgs outside event content production, aparently this is dmaqs job? has been to buy state of the game and invent fuck slasher. a show where a guy who knows nothing about sc2 tells us who is going to win stuff and why, sick yo.
the funny thing is they arent even right. ive never seen any sc2 fan deny being a nerd, tastosis say "sick nerd baller" at least 10 times a day. and their comments on style are hilarious, they think a shitty pair of nike shoes = style? but whatever.

Reading the responses, it's pretty clear most people only watched the first 5 minutes of the video :O
|
They don't. They stated during the video and after that they're joking...no one takes a fashion argument seriously.
|
the clear lack of intelligence of those guys compared to sc2 personalities is astounding.

Quote from some smart TLer: they just come across as douche bags. I do NOT want these type of people in the sc2 community, they can stay put with their dying old game while we flourish with 100k tournaments every month.

I think starcraft 2 had the same kind of effect as Halo 3 did (obviously not the same scale): A popular game that's mediocre brings in a lot of people better than a decent game that has no following. This is just the same recycled points over and over again.

didnt want to watch more of a video where they are just being plain insulting. they give no clue they are joking, and the joke isnt funny. pretty much content production 101 to make it clear when you are joking, or people will just turn it off.
|
there is no problem here, can someone tell me what the problem is? who cares if there is crossbashing between games. Either way it shows loyal fans , NOTICE THE WORD LOYAL. You cant really call yourself loyal to a game if you support every game.
my loyalty lies within starcraft, so if i have to bash other games i will do so, Much like the guys of these "other games" will bash to get there own games attention.
In sports this stuff happens all the time, Americans are notorious for shitting on SOCCER , they so fucked up that they stole the word football to create their own game, when in truth there own game should be called soccer instead, because which sport has the hands on the ball 95% of the time? American football, why is it called FOOTBALL i have no idea, but they wanted to steal the word football ( only in america soccer is called football, everywhere else its known as football)
anyway, I SEE no problem and i not sure how this thread got this many replies.

It's not 50 minutes of SC bashing, which would know if you watched the whole thing.
Also like they said it's dudes talking on skype, it's not a big official thing or anything.

I saw no difference then this and some of the stuff said on SOTG or even LO3 sometimes. It was pretty obvious to me they were kind of joking...

They seem like pretty cool guys, I know I'd be way more upset than them if SC2 was taken off the main stage by some other game. They seem more upset at their own community for not being active and mature enough if anything.
|
I love these guys! Definitely will be watching them from now on. They aren't the most articulate, but they say what they want to say, have fun doing it, and actually want to grow their community. Props to them!

They may claim they have more style, but you can't say we don't have the swagger:
