Since this whole topic degenerated into the usual balance flamefest where every topic ends up if unmoderated it's time for it to clean up. Locking this down for a while. Any posts made after my post [page 233] not addressing the changes in this patch directly and containting flames or general balance whine will get banned for at least a week. ~Nyovne

I had always thought the Overseer was way over-priced since you can just get Overlord speed for the same amount of gas. But now, I think the Overseer change will really improve Zerg scouting in the early-mid game.

Yay, I love this patch! I LOVE IT. As a zerg, i guess it sucks that infestors don't do as much damage, but meh NO MORE BLUE FLAME DESTORYING MY DRONE LINE IN 2 HITS... now it takes...3... And blink stalker nerf = <3333 Ultra/Contiminate makes for a whole host of new options.

I am concerned that Terran is suffering a little TOO much though (never thought I would say that)... The barracks time increase makes some kind of early game push a little better? bane bust idk...

I like the contaminate change a lot because now I can make my infestors right at 38 seconds without worrying about the other zerg contaminating the upgrade.

As a Zerg player, I am very happy with the look of these patch notes, even though the definitely look experimental and are bound to change, at least somewhat.

The biggest change to me (as a Zerg player) is the Ultralisk build time decrease. 15 seconds faster is a huge difference! Now I think they can actually be used in high economy, "Sauron style" situations where you just keep rallying lings and ultras at the opponent til you break them, and that makes me very happy. Late game Zerg has been good, mainly because of brood lords, but it makes me feel like I'm playing Protoss with my big Brood Lord infestor ball that can hardly move .

Bug Fixes
-Transports can no longer unload units into a dense area if the original order was issued on a fogged location.

This change is interesting. I wonder if it will have any impact on the effectiveness of baneling drops.

Edit:
-Issuing new orders to charging zealots will cause them to lose the charge buff.

And this one makes me sad. I don't think it was too exploitable, and it was always funny to watch.

I think it goes from 8 (+16 light) to 8 (+11 light) with the blue flame upgrade. It seems like zerglings, with 35hp, will still get killed by two volleys. I guess it's nice to have some more drone surviivability, though. Looks like the only changes to combat will be in TvT.

Why... I can imagine this being pretty damn annoying. Trying to adjust spines against bunker rushes is gonna be really unforgiving now.

i like how blizz changes their APM counter to eAPM but doesn't bother fixing the basic timescale issue... how hard can it be to add a 1.33x multiplier to the display?

Rax build time increase is the stupidest thing since Rebecca Black. Thx Blizzard, next time maybe nerf tanks again and then while your at it, nerf ghosts cuz Terran is just 2 damn strong.

I'm sorry I don't have much to add, but holy shit that's a big patch.

The Ultralisks always felt like they took interminably long to build. I've lost plenty a game waiting for ultras to pop, which is why I just phased them out of my play completely.

As a Terran player what stands out to me....

Infestor...A little less op

The unit vision thing plus the blink nerf is a godsend vs blink stalker rushes thank you blizzard

immortal buff...not too sure about this one I guess it's cause they look stupid dancing around in the middle of a protoss death ball when they should be shooting at something

Mothership LOL looks like mama's been working out

Warp prism...A $#@& Dt's in my base. I'm thinking sensor tower becomes standard for terran

Hellion nerf....sadly needed TvT has gone F-ing crazy

Raven buff...Seeker missile now faster than vikings hell yeah it's about time!!!

Overseer...needed vs DT and banshee harassment...but it makes nuking harder

Corruption? I think it's kinda dumb honestly it's like well what zerg unit can we buff now.

Ultralisk...ummm yeah thanks blizz

Barracks...I'm thinking 5 seconds more bullshit from probe harass and a slower 2 rax

Overall LOVE THIS PATCH
