Since this whole topic degenerated into the usual balance flamefest where every topic ends up if unmoderated it's time for it to clean up. Locking this down for a while. Any posts made after my post [page 233] not addressing the changes in this patch directly and containting flames or general balance whine will get banned for at least a week. ~Nyovne

Well protoss can wall with pylon and warpin pretty much stops it completely. It can get bad for zerg but once mutas are out, they are completely fine. TvT is where it get iffy cause last MLG all the TvT ended in less than 15min due to BF hellion but seriously....I dont understand why terran just doenst use their supply to wall off their mineral :/

Either that or a critical mass of marines and siege tanks forming a near unbreakable line.

Why doesnt blizzard explain why they balance just theese things in specefic? Instead of having 10000 people theorycrafting about it. Like wasn't PvZ a pretty even MU? Now with nerf to infestors zergs will probably use roaches more than the infestor/zergling play, so they buff immortals o.o? Immortals already laughed at roaches, if they wasnt stuck behind 2 layers of stalkers without micro.

So yeah, I whould like to see some explainations, so much crying on ze interwebs otherwise =/

I like every single change. Only unsure about contaminate energy cost increase, 125 seems overkill and will kill the ability imo.

Sigh, I wonder if Blizzard realises the impact of nerfing Hellions.

TvT, TvZ and TvP mech style play will be considerably weaker now, and probably not even viable. This reduces the options for terrans so much, and puts us back 6 months in how the game evolved. Guess we will go back to mass marines and siege tanks......

They've posted a blog explaining major changes with almost every patch after it goes live and it's been tested.

BFH nerf is needed but as some people say 150/150 is too much for +5 to light. I would suggest 100/100 but increase the research time by the time that is needed to gather 50 gas from two refineries.

What if Blizzard changed the Blue flames upgrade so it didn't affect, or did less damage against workers? It wouldn't fix them destroying marines, but it would keep them viable in all match ups (I feel still too viable in TvT).

a) Blizzard will explain the reasons behind the balance patch. They always do it.
b) Infestors are still so damn powerful, playing against ling/infestor was already tough even with 4+ colossi. You won't see them melt stalkers/void rays anymore.
c) Immortals don't laugh at roaches, roaches laugh at immortals. Only when you get a significant amount of immortals (one layer in front of stalkers) do immortals become a threat.

I just wish blue flame was totally removed, but guess this will have to do.

to the terran complaining about it: no one liked workers being 2 shot, and having a bunch of workers die by having them "LINED UP."

What about Zealots? They're quite bulky for light units I'd imagine they take a few more shots to kill now.

Siege tanks still absolutely destroy marines. The only thing more difficult is holding off early timings with a hellion opener. Late game marines won't do anything vs mech armies.
