I'm a big advocate of smoking weed as you probably already knew by looking at which country it is that I reside. I've smoked weed while doing just about anything; playing sports, banging my gf, working, studying, etc.
I started playing SC2 ~3-4months ago and I am slowly starting to find that while my concentration and creativity go up while im high playing, I am stil playing at a lower level while im high.
I am in gold at end of season 2 and hoping to make it to diamond by end of season 3 or by the time september semester starts. I am starting to feel like maybe i cant play this game blazed if I want to play at a high level which brings me to why I'm posting this on here.
Are there any known pro gamers who smoke weed while playing or really any of you TL members who are masters+. Do any of you really experienced players smoke weed while you play?
One of my teammates smoked weed and he was really good, but I think he would be better off weed as well. I also know someone who used to do a lot of drugs (harder ones) just to play better in games.
Hey mate, I'm certainly not masters+, but I just made plat, and I find that I can't play very efficiently when I'm high. I'm definitely more creative (lair rush, proxy spine push or something) but I sometimes forget my +2 ups, or forget to make a spire when going BLs or something haha =) Although I do micro like fuckin SelecT when I'm baked xD
But as far as progamers that blaze, I can't think of one.

Im Canadian. Whoops. Ya i guess "progaming" has become preety serious with sponsors etc. It was never like this in the days of cs 1.6 where everyone smoked weed openly whether they were on sponsored teams or not. This is why i asked if any high level players could comment on this
It is pretty common knowledge than many progamers(outside of Korea) smoke weed, considering that a considerable % of the population of many western countries admit to smoking marijuana. Some progamers also do other drugs to enhance concentration, stay focused for long hours (i.e. Adderall, Ritalin, etc).
That said, the public has no business knowing these kinds of details.
I see this question a lot, I'm not really sure why though... is it because you want to relate to them on some level or because you want to know if you can go pro while smoking weed? If it's the latter, I can't see why you couldn't, but I can understand why, especially sponsored players, can't or won't discuss it to protect the image of their team or sponsor.
