Try 20-0, you have to win 4 bo7 without dropping a single game. EGIdrA already tried and failed apparently.

And, they can easily just cheese every game. I don't think anyone has an above 80% win rate against hardcore cheeses. An 80% win rate only has a 3% chance to go 16-0.
small chance but think of it as a sc2 lottery for high price. and the reason noone has above 80%winrate is because the blizzard matchmaking system, top ranked gms get to play with top gms not 150th ranked gms.
/and if we are at maths, at a random 32people small tourney with simple elimination in the beginning u will need to win against 6--7 opponents usually if u have a 70%winrate against them it's still ~8% that u win which is not much different than this setup /

Wow this thread is so much win. Not the tournament of course, but the smurf accounts trying to defend it. Also: the tournament itself is rediculous and created in the sole purpose of attention.

The requirements are a bit crazy, but I don't see why there is so much hate. Seems legit to me unless they end up not paying.
TBH I don't see Protoss and Zerg being able to do this successfully. PvP and ZvZ are too volatile to win a large amount of games consecutively.

i dont see why u kids are crying.. it's just a game, ur gonna play the tournament and play vs top players in the process (aka practice games).. it's definitely not a waste of time, why not attempt to 3-0 three GM players and win $1000? it's like a lottery by playing SC, sure it's hard and almost impossible. But it's a shot at 1k. can't you just play and have fun? and if you win the tourney you get the fucking money. jeeze

There is no way that these kids pay up $1000. It's a publicity stunt, they keep adding more players to make it exponentially more difficult.

Its not they can, they will. SCDpride thats all he does is some sort of cheese/all in. I believe the whole SCD team is like that. And its near impossible with how sc2 is right now to beat cheese 16 times straight lol.

if they wouldnt pay anyway why would they make it exponentially more difficult? they make it difficult because 1. it's 1000$ 2. ofc they dont WANT to pay everyone in the world 1000$ but WILL pay if someone wins against the hard conditions 3. if u really hate them: participate in the tournament and win against them so they have to pay u 4. It's FREE to participate, NO entry fee so i still don't understand the problem

watched the stream earlier tonight and noticed a few things: -horrible casting -immature admins/mods/friends/scd children banning viewers and talking trash -disrupting the game by spamming ingame chat with nonsense
the legitimacy of this "tournament" is easily questionable. if you expect people to believe this crap, grow up.

1.u probably watched when kalu was casting who really is horrible at that :D 2. look at ROOTdestiny, he is the most popular troll in sc2 and still everytime he says he pays up for something, he does. 3.i dont see how are immature friends/mods banning for trashtalking is relevant for the legitimacy in this tournament

Like someone said, this resembles more of a lottery and not a tournament. Yes, someone may win it by going 20-0 against GM, but it's nearly impossible. No one wants to watch 50 weeks of someone trying to do the same shit over and over again and failing because the requirements set up by the OP are retarded. Every week they add a new player and new 4-0 requirement and increase the cash prize, eventually it will be 'Beat 500 GM players and you get 1 million in cash prize (yes we have photo pic of the money!)'

:D:D:D well i would definitely participate in that since it's free lottery, and even the lottery is won sometimes by somebody so u never know... but would u say it's a tournament if u needed to beat 1gm but would win a million divided by 500(gm)=2000dollars while the 500times harder conditions with 500times more prize means it's the same tournament structure but the money winnings longterm are not divided amongst people but concentrated on 1, sooner or later someone will win it.

So if they don't pay, then the winner gets to see this nonsense ever come up again, period, since they would be banned immediately from z33k and never allowed to run another tournament. Honestly, I don't think anyone is going 16-0, since I know no-one like MC, July, Puma, etc. is going to jump in this tournament, and there's no guarantee they would go 16-0. It's a waste of those guys time when they could be practicing against better competition for better prizes.
FWIW, I seriously doubt that was the real Idra.

Well I can tell all of you in some of the semi popular chat channels in game I see Google in there trolling and trying to promote his channel with gimmicky lines like "join my chat channel if you want hardcore sex." He seems a bit shady to me...

You shouldn't go into this with the mindset that you want to win x amount of money.
Go in with the mindset that you're going to get to play a ton of high level masters/GM players. Enjoy the practice and move on when you lose.
Yea I don't think we'll see anyone get that money anytime soon... but that doesn't mean people shouldn't enjoy the tournament anyways.

why wouldnt pros go there? it's free money for them if they can beat those 4 gms who are not even that good among GMs. MC and puma has beaten harder opponents 3-0 so from like max 5 tries he can win it (which means he wins an average 200$ [1000/5]every time he enters which is good)

i dont know google much but i think i know what u r thinkng about :D but if google did that, not his reputation but the reputation of his friend, Pride would suffer the damage, and say what u want about his trolling behaviour, but i dont think he would be hurting his friend with false promises he cannot hold... mb if google created this thread i would be skeptical too but the situation is more complicated for google with pride making the threads and promises

Is this the pride from the combatex night that acted like a "really cool guy"?

Your logic is awful. Someone has to win the lottery. It keeps going until someone does and the odds of someone winning increase. The odds of someone winning this decrease as time goes.
