Just watched vibe playing after hearing from incontrol talk about his amazing apm. Was just wondering how he injects so fast with all his queen on 1 hot key?? I heard that he uses the space bar how does he get the queens to inject the right hatch??

OT: If you heard something about space, it might be the shift + backspace method. Backspace will cycle through your hatcheries very fast.

Probably uses the backspace trick.

The Backspace Trick
Select your queens. By pressing backspace, you will center on your first hatchery. Spawn Larva. Press backspace again to move to your next Hatchery. Spawn Larva again. etc...

You can make this much faster by first placing your cursor at the middle of the screen. Select your queens and press 'V' to activate the Spawn Larva spell. Press and hold the shift key to stack the spell. Now, while holding 'Shift', press backspace and click on your first hatchery, press backspace and click on your second hatchery, etc...

If you have a Macro keyboard set-up, you can make this trick even more efficient, by having a key set to "select your queens"+"press V"+"press and hold shift".

This method is both quick and easy, and requires very little micro skill or coordination. Its draw back though is that it will take your visual focus away from the action.

This question should probably be asked in the Simple Questions Simple Answers Thread located here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=187808

Also make sure you read this post covering how you should make a thread in the strategy forum.

It's this, only he customizes his hotkeys and changes backspace to the spacebar, so as he hits spacebar it cycles through his hatches, and spacebar v click is a lot easier than backspace v click. He says that with this method he can inject like 8~ hatcheries per second, but it also helps when you have like 6000 apm.

What are the rules for stuff like this at tourneys? i mean it wouldnt be hard to have a macro on the keyboard and just bring it to the tourney? To me I don't find that to be cheating in any way and it sort of imo helps close the gap for zerg where you need basically retarded amount more apm to be on even footing with having to queen inject and spread creep all day.

I have my inject on w and backspace on q and my queens hotkeyed to 2. It's really easy and natural for my fingers to go through the motions. Now if only my inject timing sense were better...

There is a whole thread on this, been around since the BETA.

search for 'spawn larvae' or anything similar.

http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=125725

this will be closed pretty soon. Did you read the Purge thread and all the stickies? Big red letters. HINT: its stickied at the top of the strategy forum, I'll link it here for your convenience: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=210370

from the purge thread, this is particularly relevant:

It's not a macro, you can edit your hotkeys.

Backspace = Base Camera (As you spam it it cycles through your hatchs)
Shift+V w/ Queens selected = Everytime you click they inject.

So you just spam backspace / click on the hatch it shows and you can quickly inject all your hatchs in a second or two.

Sometimes people skim the rules because they only want their answers A.S.A.P when they can get it from searching and from the recommended threads.

I'm asking about having macros that you can have on programable keyboards. I.e 1 button click.

This doesn't require a thread in SC2 Strategy to figure out.
