Hey TL Community, a week or maybe 2 weeks ago i played a ladder game against some guy, right before that i had played a few games without any lagg issues... so i started the game (i said gg gl hf but no reaction from his side) and it was fine for about 2 or 3 minutes, than suddenly it lagged like hell. It was really unplayable cause it lagged so much, but the waiting for server screen didnt appear. so i chatted my opponent and ask him whats wrong, but he didnt answer... the game was lagging like hell for about 10 minutes, but i didnt want to loose so i havent leave... i keeped on chatting him and said to him that he should stop that lagging cause i was sure that the lag issues are not on my side... after around ten minutes and a little bit raging against him it suddenly stopped lagging and i was able to get my push working and won the game... but now my question for you´ll.. how is it able to force lagging like this without appearing of the waiting for the server screen?! is this maybe some kind of "lag hack"? i dont know if my opponent gets any advance of this...

It wasn't a hack. It was just lag.

It's called lag. Bnet does it from time to time. No need to insult your opponent because of that.

maybe, but im not sure of this... usually when someone laggs either the waiting for server screen appears or the message appears where it says player "xy" is slowing down the game... but nothing... i think it was kind of forced lag maybe he wanted me to leave the game so he get a def win... first i though about he having a slow pc, but like i said after 10 minutes of lag hell and raging a little against him it suddenly worked fine again... im really not sure what it was...

i also lost a game yesterday cause me and my oppo got disconnected from bnet server, the servers just got crushed and our game lagged like hell until we both dropped out of it - and for sure i lost the points and he got a win...
happens from time to time to me such things, and i always have bad luck, but you cant change such stuff, so just be happy that you didnt lose the game cause of the big lagg like i always do ;D

Did you make sure it wasnt your computer doing anything to make it lag? depending on your internet connection, anything from an application autoupdating to spyware/vira could produce that result.

im sure of that when i play i turn of everything else that may use my internet connection... also when im lagging the waiting for server screen appears everytime... it seemed kinda strange to me that he didnt chatted me and was complaing about the lag to (if it was really a bnet issue,but im sure it wasn´t). Im sure it wasn´t a bnet issue cause a friend of mine was laddering at the same time without having any lag issues...

i wasnt really raging against him i ask him several times wahts wrong, and after a while without reaction i said something like: "cmon guy stop that lagging shit please" 2 or 3 minutes later it was gone...

no im not trolling... it was only 1 game idk excactly wich one (i cant look right now im at work), but i can watch when im at home... unfortunatly i think posting a replay wont help... cause u cant see the laggs there... only my chat... but if u want i can put it up...

I actually saw some1 doing this on (i think) grubbies stream to him...so it might as well be some sort of a hack...grubby left game very quickly not wanting to waste his time.

Stop bashing on the dude only for asking a question, so you get some post count up. The first few people answered, people are simply repeating the same thing over and over. I don't understand why this kind of thread should go in 2+ pages.

Yes, sometimes Battle.net is laggy like hell. When it happens, wait a bit, play another game, you should be ok. If it still lags, close the game, go outside, when you'll come back it'll be alright.

Especially since the start season 2, a lot of people came back, so the servers aren't exactly 'underloaded'.

not a clear indication... the only strange thing about it, was the timings of the laggs and that he didnt response... so sorry for all the guys wich thinking im wasting their time or the TL forum capacity cause of this... i just thought about the possibility that there maybe things like a lag hack... but when i see how people reacting to me for asking that question i dont want any answers... so close the thread and i just can hope for the community that there are not things like a lag hack... i just wanted to point out the possibilty...
at least gotmog believes me...

really? I mean, really?

one game with lag and someone is lag hacking? how can you be sure it wasn't a problem with you? how can you be sure it wasn't a problem with him(his connection) or bnet? how can you know it wasn't just some software using the bandwidth to download some stuff (aka antivirus/windows update etc.).

you're just making pointless blaming here, that and you won't really achieve anything. You had a laggy game. Live with it. Go on.

i can only repeat myself.. i was asking a simple question about the posibility that there could be a lag hack... i cant understand that u guys now kinda hating on me... but go on if u got ur funs out if it... i just can hope that this is not happening to you guys... i just wanted to ask here if someone had similar experiences...
