starcraft 2 no cd?

Just bought a pc good enough to run sc2, taking a while it going. I just want to know, having bought the physical starcraft 2 cd, is there a way after I install it to play without have the cd constantly in? Thanks.

You don't need the disc automaticlly. by that i mean you can play after you install, even w/o the disc.

Yea you can just need the CD to install. They run the game online even single player i believe, so as long as you got internet your fine

Ye the cd isn't used for anything more then installing the game.

Starcraft2 is like an MMO in the sense that the only thing that matters is your account that you have registrered on b.net and that sc2 is linked to.

So you don't have to install no-cd patches or anything, it will never ask for the cd again, because that isn't needed.

You don't even need the CD at all. The $60 you spent was for an account. The game itself can be downloaded off Blizzard's site for free.

Just to go battle.net, log on, and then add SC2 to your account using the cd key you got from the game. You'll be able to download game from battle.net whenever you want afterwards. you can also register and do this with pretty much all blizzard games after SC1. I registered all my cd keys because I always have a hell of a time trying to look for the old game CDs and their cdkey.
