Seriously Zerg is so much more difficult to play and just impossible to improve with. Absolutely retarded losing to kids who dont even micro because if i miss one cycle i fucking lose.
Terran needs to scout? Scan NP.
Toss needs to scout? Observer NP.
What the fuck does zerg have, suiciding OL's? Okay every time terran uses scan he loses a supply depot and toss loses a pylon, that way its fair right?
I mean lets be honest the only way to win is to get a fast expo up meaning you lose to early pressure and even if you somehow fucking withstand his shitstorm of zealots/stalkers or marine/marauders he has his expo and he can just lock you down and make you play defensive for the rest of the game. Then he takes his sweet as time getting 40 thors / collassi and comes to take a huge fucking shit all over you, then the STRENGTH OF THE ZERG, TO BE ABLE TO DIE AND REBUILD! shines through! Not quite, cause i only have 14 larvae and no matter what units i get he just cocksmacks the shit out of them with his overpowered fucking bullshit or even if he dies he can just warp in more units or just sit till he gets 200 more fucking supply.
Seriously Zerg needs to be fucking fixed this is absolute bullshit. The only people who can succeed with Zerg are professional or very high level diamond players who wont make a single mistake cause if you get supply blocked for a second or miss 1 larvae cycle or dont spread creep or make 1 fucking mistake you lose. Meanwhile terran just sits there, he misses his "larvae cycle" no big he just spams mules. Toss misses his "larvae cycle" just spam chronoboost.
Absolute garbage, this is retarded. Seriously considering going back to BW if they dont do something to balance races, Zerg in particular.

Or you could watch TLO play zerg. Spread creep everywhere,have half the map in view and stop crying. You forgot about sensor towers and hallucinations. BTW fungal growth is the best spell in the game IMO. Storm and emp are weaker than in BW. Dark archons, and arbiters are gone. But zerg gets plague and ensnare combined into 1 spell. Go back to BW you baby. Also, it's just as easy for zerg to fast expand as in BW yet it still seems damn near impossible as T or P to plan a fast expand build. You can still do it but only in a few uncommon situations. I bet if you just watched some Day9, did your build very smoothly. No supply blocks, good mix of units, Good scouting and reaction you'd do fine.
Don't feel bad everyone has to get out some nerd rage here and there. But this is not the place for it.
BTW lings cost 25 min , scout with them. Get some borrowed roach move. Changelings.

A scan costs Terran either 270 minerals or 9 supply, Observers cost 50 minerals 150 gas, and an Overseer has the exact same cost. Instead of QQing how about sniping the Observer and using suicidal OL/Changeling to scout. "Very high Diamond player refers to a large number of players on this board, instead of raging for no reason, this topic was discussed to death during the beta, how about making a [H] topic and posting some replays... (I play Terran/Random btw..)

And btw, Observers are 50/100 and require a 200/100 building with a long build time. Overlords are 100 minerals, part of natural gameplay, and are not a "sure death" if you hide them well on the outskirts and/or have overlord speed
fast expo is part of the zerg playstyle, it gets you a huge lead, costs 300 instead of 400, and is a RISK. I'd reccomend if you are building an earlyish expo to build a sunken or two, and try and use your scouting overlord to spot the inevitable 4gate or 4rax (only things that are retarded vs early expo zerg, everything else is easily counterable once nat is up). Throw down sunkens, build more queens, and use your economic advantage and micro to build up a slow lead and fend off your expo. Scout their nat and as soon as they try and take it, push and punish them for 1basing while you were on 2.
Build more workers. Collosi are easily countered by corruptors and good micro. Thors are weak against infestors and good concaves.
Stop complaining, go back to the basics and strengthen your game instead of crying about things that have NO RELEVANCE to the ACTUAL zerg downfalls. If this post was about mech vs Z I'd give you credit, but this is just a rant about literally nothing but your terrible play.

I dislike the spawn larva mechanic as much as the next guy. Its clunky, and too punishing if you miss a cycle. However, this thread is ridiculous and needs to be locked, and the OP banned.

yeah we all know zerg is up, doesn't mean you can't win. it's not like at lower levels it's completely broken, at higher levels it's a little more iffy since some of the stuff is really hard to counter, but most terrans at low diamond and below don't know how to abuse their races.

I think a scan hurts the T more than we non-T's believe. It means a mule less and a mule gathers a LOT of resources.
And an observer isnt cheap as well. You first need the robo and then spend 25mins/75gas on that observer. An overlord only costs 100minerals. And btw, Overseers are great to scout imo.
The problem in ZvT is that T has so many options which makes it hard to see what is coming out of his base. Scouting shouldnt be too hard with some lings or an ovi but you dont know when he will push, what units he'll make etc etc.

But seriously, if you cannot recognize changelings you're bad. Zerg is by far the most demanding of the three races. As i said, once you've mastered the race its pretty much on par with everything except for mech terran. However aside from that handful of players who are extremely high-skilled, Zerg players are at a huge disadvantage.
Anyone who thinks that playing Terran or Protoss as a first race is more difficult than playing Zerg as a first race is fucking stupid.

I have to build an obs when I want to build an immortal 3a. Upgrade to overseer, you need the detection anyway 3b. Upgrade the ol/os speed 4. Zerg pros ALL fast expand and guess what, they don't lose to early pressure. ffs just put down a spine crawler or 2, noob. (Whale biologist - calls 'em like I sees 'em) 5. Lings are the fastest tier 1, even more so if you're getting speed LIKE YOU SHOULD. A ling scout is well worth the 25 min. 6. Against Toss, if he's getting stalkers, make more lings. If he's getting zealots, make roaches. If he's getting both, you get both. 7. Against Terran idk really how roaches come in here, I think against marines and lings against marauders. 8. How come he can hold an expo when you can't hold an expo? If that's the case you lost the game earlier. 9. Build Ults, corruptors, or mutas against Colossus 10. Against Thors, Infestors, but you know you can just hit F12 to see a list of all the counters, right?
Real Edit: All this time complaining and yet absolutely no commentary on the pros of zerg. Off the top of my head: 1. creep block his buildings 2. You don't need to build extra production buildings, only 1 tech building, so your transitions/counters are the most forgiving of any race in that respect 3. If a toss doesn't chronoboost, he falls behind the same as a Z who doesn't larva or a T who doesn't mule 4. Your expos are cheaper - (why aren't you expanding more?)

I still don't get the whole spawn larva complaint I hear from zerg. In BW T and P had to make a bunch of gateways or barracks/factories. In sc2 T and pstill have to make a bunch of unit producing structures. But for some reason zergs decided that they can get by with less unit producing structures in sc2. Why don't zerg just experiment more. Try waiting longer to get queens. Try 3 hatch on 2 base with 2 queens. You miss a cycle, so what you have another hatch to nut on. You also always have some extra larvae around too. It seems like zergs just gave up on finding more streamlined builds for different situations half way through beta. While the other races have been experimenting and tweaking their production via the new mechanics constantly.

I can understand the Zerg-rage phenomenon, it's frustrating when you run into a mid-game push against a player you have out-macro'd and their metal combination (if you are dying to colossi then you need to go hang out with some corruptors) wipes the floor with you.
But the balance definitely switches in Zerg's favour once you have access to T3 - broodlords/ultralisks.
Zerg is strong early game, speedlings/roach are great for their tier, but you are significantly weak in the mid game when hydra/mutas are your main option against tank/thor/helion/viking. But like has been said earlier infestors more than make up for that, and you HAVE to exploit terrans mobility.
I think the biggest mistake Zergs make is failing to understand the concept that Zerg midgame in TvZ is about survival, if you can kill mech/bio balls with festor+whatever, then you are doing great, the aim should be to hold on and macro like a demon until you have access to T3 - not smash your head against walled off/tanked cliffs and then racing to the forums to spew for balance changes.
For the record I'm a zerg player and I wouldn't be upset if they toned down tank AI

if you wanna support your point, you might as well use good examples. scan = ~275 mineral that could have been a mule instead. with hidden tech(ovie creep+spire or corner pylon + DT), terran basically loses 275min for nothing. observers are lively to get taken out in all 3 match ups, maybe less likely in pvp, but it takes 100 gas and cost time investment on robotics which could pump out immortals instead if fit. if you're complaining about 100 mineral scout which you can have 20+ a game, you gotta switch races and know for yourself how easy scouting is for zerg. i'm not gonna talk to much about TvZ cuz i'm a protoss player, though i heard it slightly favors terran. PvZ favors protoss Only if the map favors FE for protoss(lost temple, blistering sands, steps...) AND if the zerg isn't on the cross position from the toss. if the toss opens up 1 base, it definitely does not favor toss at all unless he's going for a 4 warpgate push, which you should definitely assume to be only of the more likely build to prepare for if you can't scout inside the base.
i can't say that the game is balanced as of the current unit stats and the current map pools, but it definitely is not a garbage race. my friend that was about D level iccup BW has been playing random for a while and chose zerg after playing all 3 races, and he's 520 Diamond and going up. he almost always go for a 14gas 14pool speedling opening(at least for all pvz's) into expo + relatively fast lair, and relatively fast ultra, and he wins more game than he loses against good protoss/terrans.

1) i like how zerg has no ranged units tier 1 and 2. 3range roach lol 2) i like how zerg has no unit that can kite or attack and not get hit like the reaper, siegetank, collosus, dt, pheonix. bye lurker, hello baneling lol wtf 3) i like how zerg has no aoe ranged unit. 4) hell, i like how zerg has no ranged unit. tier 3 hydras that are slow as queens off creep yeah ok lulz 5) i like how every zerg unit has a mandatory upgrade for speed or it's useless. baneling, zergling, roach. you don't see toss getting charge for zealots and blink for stalker every game do you. 6) i like how there is auto-repair but no auto-vomit 7) i like how zerg are supposed to surround but all sc2 maps are designed so fights can happen at chokes and i especially like how a single unit like a zealot placed well can block 40x lings for 10+ seconds. 8) i like how forcefields... do i even have to 9) i like how lurker is gone and blizzard thinks a non-range, non-aoe, non-unattackable, non-cost-effective unit like the baneling is a suitable replacement. 10) i like how blizzard has fucked up so bad i have to say shit like this.
