Well, in my experience the smaller less crowded places are better for really getting a girlfriend and such since you can actually talk and meet people. The really crowded places are good if you want to just get some physical contact I suppose. Basically what you do is you stand behind a girl, grab her waist and hope she responds positively. They sometimes have one of their girlfriends signal them if the guy that's approaching her is attractive or not. Personally I don't like it since you can't talk nor are you really able to see her face, but that's how it goes.

Some other Korea-specific tips:
1. Getting a phone number doesn't mean much. Don't think you got a 2nd date even if you managed to get her number. They almost give their phone number to anyone that asks and then just ignore the messages/calls if they have no interest.
2. Don't ignore the guys. Get friendly with the group. If you think you hit it off with a girl don't expect her to simply leave her group of friends for you (she'll look slutty). Instead get her number, let her leave, then ask her to come back with a text message (so her friends don't notice!). She'll say bye to her friends, get in a taxi, and then get out again real soon to meet you some place.
3. Go drinking with her. Most party girls drink a lot too in Korea, and really, getting drunk together is the best way to get intimate.

Good luck not getting your face punched in.

So many people do that in clubs here (Toronto) too - for reference I'm 20 and most of the clubs I go to have a demographic of 19-22 and yeah guys just sneak behind girls and flank them from behind. A lot of guys just want some cheap ass grinding action not even gonna bother to start a conversation

And when every girl in the US dances all they do is bend over and shake their butt for hours... what's the difference? Just as boring.

And... the funny thing is they all act like they are so edgy and so wild- like you've never seen anyone do it before. Ya... you're shaking ur butt. I so amazed.

Maybe they should watch more US rap videos in Korea... where people enter clubs in slow motion and women are decorations.

Yeah and it's wrong. You guys will learn that soon enough by trail and error. There are tons of approaches you can take and the one you just described is one of the most amateurish. This does not translate into a lot of success with Toronto girls.

That isn't what we call game or sealing the deal in any means. If they start smiling and giggling to their friends, or at you, it most likely means the following: 'here we go again.' They aren't laughing or smiling with you. They're laughing at you. You should never stalk them. They find it very creepy. Be confident in your approaches and switch it up.

Do not read The Game or Mystery Method. It's outdated "technology:"

Go download or buy the Real Social Dynamics seminar DVDs and visit RSDNation. They teach you how to actually become a real "natural" and not just a machine that runs on routines and lines.

Yeah
Perhaps your approach is wrong? Maybe watch others do it first.
Or wrong club

First of you all, you have to understand clubbing in Korea.

Clubs, such as NB (NoiseBox), are places where females and males go just to dance with their own gender preferably. I read somewhere here someone suggesting Hongdae and he is right. They are more liberal there and I suggest you check out Harlem there first. It is an American hip pop club where the ladies like to dance with men. =]

Other than that, if you want to dance and hang out with girls, go to a nightclub. Girls go there to get booked and have fun with men.

Don't get too hooked to Korean night life though! You might end up in 안마,룸빵, and other diabolical places.

No...That's not what I meant. Sorry my English may not be very clear but women like to go to clubs just to dance by themselves or with their friends. Guys go to to dance with their friends or by themselves but a lot of guys do go to creep on girls. I'm saying that it might be harder to dance with girls in many clubs because, well, they just want to dance.

Haha, the linked thread about the different kinds of clubs in Korea kinda blew my mind.
And for me good nights spent dancing usually begin with a little eye contact and a nice smile from across the room. It seems that even that would be super difficult in those Korean clubs. I always thought that If I ever went to Korea I'd be stoked to go clubbing, but this is saddening.
