As a Zerg player I'd much rather have a Tier 1.5 unit with 1 food that I can mass easily than a 2 food unit that makes me have to build an overlord every 4 units built.
I'll gladly take a nerf to Roach damage or health so long as they keep the 1 armor and they make them 1 food again. I just want to feel as if I have the ability to make large numbers easily again. Right now I don't necessarily feel as if that is the case with the Zerg right now.
Although...I think I'd settle for a Zergling buff instead of 1 food Roaches now that I think about it.

FWIW, I can confirm that those Roach / Thor "changes" are present in the data files of the new patch (Roach cost 75/25 there), also Tank siege damage seems to be at 60... So it could well be that this game data is simply reverted back to the pre-Roach-nerf patch (possibly the "retail 1.0" data as hinted by the leaked SC2 box thread) and only when the servers open there's an actual gameplay patch. *shrug*
EDIT: I'm not looking at it with SC2Tools, rather the raw XML data from the MPQ... I tried to pastebin it for all to see but it was so big (~600kb) that it crashed my browser

Hmm thats actually an interesting idea. It would seem kinda weird that they would revert back to the old patches on so many different units. Either that or the patch is somehow bugged, although that seems highly unlikely considering that it is blizzard we are talking about.

This seems to me like the most likely explanation. I'm afraid this means this is just the "base" patch with sounds and stuff, with the content patch coming shortly after...
