I go to this college where there's not a lot of other ethnicities or minority groups so it's always a surprise (a good surprise) whenever I see an Asian on campus - because he might play starcraft.
I go up to the kid and go, yo man you korean?
He's like no i'm Chinese
I'm like, so you play starcraft?
He says no.
And there were several other exchanges like this with all of them ending in me finding out the kid is Chinese, not Korean.
So, I go up to some kid and he looks Chinese (no flat korean face) and say, "Chinese?"
He goes, no, korean, and gives me a dirty look.
I'm like, you play Starcraft?
And the kid just walks away.
Wow what the fuck, why is it okay to confuse a Chinese with a Korean but no the other way around? And where does Japan come into the picture, btw.

the "default" asian is chinese when people stereotype

wow last.ed 17 post.s t.his t.ime huh? you krazy.

i believe it is due to the wars among them all

Well, it's pretty obvious.
Koreans hate Chinese because the segregation of Korea into North and South was more or less the Chinese' fault.
Koreans and Chinese hate Japanese because Japanese invaded Korea and China (and this is not just WWII) and ruled with an iron fist.
So, if you want to be Asian, be a Korean =]

Rape of Nanking probably caused quite a bit of animosity between Japan + China. Next, China has shown a history of self-importance, especially over the other countries around there (Japan, Korea). China has also attempted to assimilate (We're better, do what we do [similar to White Man's Burden]) and take over various parts of SE Asia.
In practice (for myself), I love all Asians the same .

That may or may not be because of the fact that the chinese make up 1/5 of the earth's population. Also I think koreans and chinese are quite friendly while they both harbor some old animosity towards Japan.
The reason that OP thinks that asian cultures hate each other probably has more to do with him walking up to strangers asking where they are from and if they play a certain computer game. Which is a bit weird.

I think he just walked away cause you asked him if he plays Starcraft lol

Why do people even bother responding to bad blogs by posters with such low post count?
Obvious troll blog.

Why do you respond? Post count doesn't always equal quality. Just because someone has a high post count it doesn't obviously mean that they are well-mannered and respecful. Like yourself.

This is a bad blog, regardless of post count. Low post count just makes it more obvious that it's in the vein of t.dot.
