We see JD's spire morphing for the first time at 6:09 + Show Spoiler [watch the VOD, at 6m9s] + And it's still morphing at 7:34 + Show Spoiler [watch the VOD, at 7m34s] + http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpFDGyTLtpY#t=7m32s ! Did the commentators catch this during the game? It certainly made a difference, because if JD hadn't canceled he surely would have at least been able to save the overlord that Bisu killed in his base at around 7:41 in the VOD. | ||

God's Garden vs...Shades of Twilight and HeartBreak Ridge? I think though this ace game will decide who is #1 PR, it says nothing about who is a better starcraft player, who will have more successful, etc. Someone had to win, and this time, it was Bisu's turn. | ||

Really? This game says nothing about who is a better StarCraft player? Bisu played better than Jaedong...that seems to be good evidence that right now, Bisu is a better StarCraft player than Jaedong. How else are we supposed to evaluate progamers' skills, if not by how well they play in games? If your attitude about SC games is really just "someone had to win"...what's the point of watching? | ||

It proves Bisu can win a game against Jaedong on heartbreak ridge and nothing more. Sure he played better, but that's how players win against other players. Violet played better than Bisu and therefore, by extension won (or vice versa). Both played well, but does that mean that at that moment, Violet was a better Starcraft player than Bisu? By your logic, absolutely. Clearly that's false. Similarly, when Jaedong loses a zvz, does that mean the player to whom he loses is a better zerg? Again, by your logic, yes, but that's clearly not true. If Jaedong or Bisu, etc., were to lose a BO5, then you could go out and definitively say what you did, but one simply cannot conclude that from one measly proleague match. | ||

Interesting! Since he put the spire back up almost immediately - do you guys think the cancel was accidental or intentional, but something JD changed his mind about instantly? I'd love to know what was going through his head at that moment. | ||

These two are so good at Starcraft that I don't think map balance really says anything. They're really neck and neck and close, and I'm not one to say one is necessarily better than the other. Also, just because one can beat the other, doesn't make the one a better player. free is 8-6 against Jaedong, does that mean free is a better player than Jaedong? Of course not. I would say at this current point in time their skill levels are too close to conclusively say that one is better than the other. During the beginning of 2008, Jaedong was definitively the better player, while during the fall of 08 Bisu was definitively better IMO. But now they're really close and I don't think there is a clear winner as to who is "better" right now. | ||
