Jaedong must have felt terrible after that happened. I don't get how you cancel a spire by mistake. First Luxury did it, now Jaedong does. What gives?

What gives? In the VOD's comments on YouTube, someone suggested that JD canceled his spire immediately after killing Bisu's probe so that he could reclaim enough minerals to throw down two hatcheries right away (thereby fooling Bisu, who would be preparing for a faster muta harass). Even though this strategy doesn't make much sense to me (too "cute"), especially considering JD started his spire up again almost immediately, given the timing of the probe dying and the hatcheries going down I think it's safe to say that the spire cancel was intentional. A mistake - but intentional.

Because the series between SKT and Hwaseung was one of the most important sets in all R5 for the three contenders for first place, and in the deciding game, he couldn't pull through and what could've been a series that cemented Hwaseung's dominance, ended instead eating up their safety cushion and leaving them within arms reach of their challengers.

Diagonal position! Not to mention his opponent was Canata, not Fantasy. Just play standard and win instead of trying to be cute. Backho was given a "free" win, but didn't want to take it I wouldn't call it a free win and a huge failure from Backho. Canata going wraiths and scanning his two speed shuttles as they're leaving the base looked to me like the reason Backho lost, rather than an epic failure on his side.

I couldn't believe it when his dragoons stood their ground and fought JD's hydras head-on without zealot support, but I guess I should know better than to question Bisu's judgment in PvZ.

If you see Bisu vs. RorO on Outsider, Bisu's corsair-reaver play is pretty strong. And yet, in both games where Bisu went corsair-reaver against Jaedong in the gom special match, JD owned Bisu pretty hard. In this Ace game, JD cancelled his spire and it ended up costing him greatly, even though we might've called it a clever mind game if this was done against another Protoss and translated into an advantage for him. I guess you might be right- other than clever tech switches from mutas to hydras to lurkers from JD, I don't see much room for cheesy/creative play in a Bisu vs. Jaedong matchup. EDIT: Other than Queens. I'd love to see queens in Bisu vs. Jaedong :p

BackHo saw Canata's build with an observer. Seeing that, BackHo didn't have to go allin. He was in an okay position if he chosen not to attack and most likely win in a long game.
