Its okay, at least Lomo beat Fantasy, thats enough to call it the day "okay". ---- In depth analysis of n.die's post as presented by n.die; HEY everybody, forget that Jaedong lost, lets rag on Fantasy and call Lomo bonjwa

This is my theory.

Except that I was pretty damn excited when I watched the VOD, and I already knew who was going to win.
May the BeSt man win.

I got a little worried in the middle, when they sort of traded armies on the little ledge. Bisu only had a handful of units left and I thought oh shit Zerg is gonna rebuild and macro up a replacement army much faster than toss.

But somehow he managed to roll that handful of units down a hill like a snowball and it wasn't long before he got the protoss ball rolling again, alas a few obs short nevertheless.

I forsee JD using Queens to spawn broodling more in the future, it's gotta be more cost effective than losing all those muta and still not getting the kills on the HT.

at least im hope cuz that would be cool

The funny thing about people complaining about that ridge leading to the third expo is that it helped JD a lot in this game. Bisu was WAY ahead, and frankly the game probably went on 5+ minutes more than it would have otherwise because JD kept repelling Bisu's attacks on that ridge and managed to keep his third/fourth alive for a little while longer.

Edit: Er, I guess it's the fourth/fifth expos actually.

Apparently Bisu has figured out the secret to Goons>Hydras.

First time ive ever seen goons own like that.

Edit: Simon B...the ledge had little to do with it. Jaedong just kept sniping observers.

Honestly wonder who Bisu's PvZ training partners are. Other pro-teams won't lend their players to help him train for the pro-league.

You're basing it on a sample size of 12 games? Good job.

You can't tell imbalances based on such small stats. You have to look at the games themselves. In most games, the better player won, and while the map certainly isnt zerg favored (unlike many, many maps that are zerg favored vs toss) you can't say its horrifically imbalanced. A slight imbalance this way or that is a common feature of almost every map and it is NOT an excuse.

Besides, watching this game it becomes apparent that the map played only a small role in the outcome of the game.

He was referring to the fact that people are denying an imbalance; he already stated the map played a minor role.

I think its kind of annoying how even though this map sucks for zerg Hwaseung basically has to send out JD because he's the only one who can keep up with Bisu on OZ

Do you know anyone besides Jaedong and maybe Flash who can keep up with Bisu period? Anyone else in the entire Proscene would be an auto-lose. Go ahead and pick: Fantasy, Leta, Effort, ZerO, Stork, Jangbi, all of them would fall before Bisu. OZ was lucky to have Jaedong to put into that match.

I would say at this current point in time their skill levels are too close to conclusively say that one is better than the other. During the beginning of 2008, Jaedong was definitively the better player, while during the fall of 08 Bisu was definitively better IMO. But now they're really close and I don't think there is a clear winner as to who is "better" right now.

Honestly, I don't care which one is better. I want the Bo5 because it would be absolutely fucking epic!

Do you really want a long winding essay about it? That was supplemental to the point that HBR is imbalanced in protoss's favor, specifically because of storm. You'd be insane to think otherwise.

I mean it's not "this way or that" it is plain and simple fact that the map is heavily p favored.

I never thought about it but actually the ppl were really pumped about this match. I checked the LR thread of the previous match where JD defeated Bisu in the ace match, and there basically the LR starts from page 2 lol, here from page 10, not to mention that right now you guys are still arguing about this damn jd vs bisu game

God it's so dumb to say that. I mean it'd be easy to point out that Kal isn't playing that great lately and that July is the big dog in ZvP, but beyond all that the map design in and of itself is imbalanced in protoss's favor and you'd be wrong to think otherwise.

People want to insist that the map isn't imbalanced and therefore Bisu is unanimously better than Jaedong when the fact of the matter is the map's imbalance wasn't the most important part of the match up anyhow.

Folks seem to think saying HBR is highly protoss favored means I don't think Bisu played better this game when that's just not true. :x

"Guys, it's not imbalanced, this one time a Zerg beat a Protoss on it!"

Anyway, I didn't notice that Jaedong canceled the spire. I'm only a D/D+ player and even I would never even think of doing that because of all the overlords I'd lose. I wonder what his reasoning was...
