While  NonY is off playing at PGL, his teammates take on Proleague giants KHAN. Upset in the making? I certainly hope so!
+ Show Spoiler [predictions] +A weird matchup for this map, and one that I'm not super excited for after suffering through the snoozefest that was Kal vs. Yarnc (the 5set from a few weeks ago). great has been the most successful Samsung Chogu this season, but that's not saying much - and his ZvP is really untested. SangHo, on the other hand, has been putting up unexpectedly impressive results for eSTRO, especially in PvZ. I think he can trump Harmony's map balance and what looks to be a snipe from KHAN to give eSTRO a 1-0 lead. I'm not a FrOzean hater, but I'm picking against him here because I have great faith in hyvaa. Don't be fooled by hyvaa's underwhelming PL record - he's had some wicked tough opponents. Also, he used queens before Jaedong made them cool - kind of like listening to The Shins before Garden State. This is definitely the match's pivotal set. Samsung may well be staring at a 0-2 hole when Stork enters the booth, and they'll need him to be his usual self (i.e. not the OSL-hangover Stork we've been seeing recently). Up probably has something up his sleeve for TvP on Requiem, but I don't think it will be enough. I'm thinking Up was hoping to catch a Zerg here rather than a nearly cheese-proof Protoss. Death to JangBi. This game will be the night's most entertaining, assuming Up does not beat Stork. Really can own dragons when he's in his zone, JangBi is Mr. Consistent for KHAN this season. I could make a pretty solid argument for why either of these players will take this set, but I'm going to cop out and surrender to my distaste for JangBi. Sorry, JangBi fan(s?). If this goes to the ace, eSTRO is in huge trouble. Playing against a Protoss-heavy team on a Protoss-friendly map means that sending their usual ace Really would be a disaster. KHAN would be foolish to trot out JangBi in consecutive sets - especially because we can expect the 4set to be a huge, draining macro war. JangBi's appearance in the 4set makes me think it's Stork's turn to close out the match for KHAN, and eSTRO has no good answers. Without any killer ZvP players, their best bet is to throw out Ryan[shield] and hope for some lucky scarabs.

hyvaa does a great job of exploiting FrOzean's ability to throw any advantage. Entertaining if you enjoy seeing Zergs beat mech.

Neo Requiem at its best: exciting, micro-oriented low econ play from both sides. This was a fun game. Recommended viewing.
Really < JangBi
Really decides to be cool and not wall on Colosseum...disaster ensues. One-sided destruction by reaver. WTF, Really.

It seems to me that Khan rotate their star players in and out of lineup more often than any other team. It's actually pretty common to see one of Stork/Jangbi/FBH not play in a match.

I think this phenomenon was solely due to Starleague conflicts - FBH, Stork, and JangBi all went far in individual leagues this season. Now that those leagues are over, we are seeing them quite consistently.
In any case, I do see FBH on the bench.

I think great ended up going 12hatch, SangHo scouts it and goes nexus before cannons. Zerg's gas now coming up, and his nat is up as well.
Ah, sneaky third hatch from great at 7! This is a smart play IMO, it's just hell for Protoss to cross this massive map to attack Zerg expos.

SangHo's nat is up, great has lair coming and is powering drones. Ryan's core comes in and great intelligently sends an OL to scout....
OL escapes cannon range with one hit's worth of HP left, lol. SangHo has stargate coming in main, great sees it with barely-alive OL. Great transferring drones to his 7:00 expo, and now has spire coming just before den. Commentators note great has not taken his nat or 3rd gas, suggesting he is going for scourge -> hydra rather than mutas.

SangHo's first corsair is out, it scores an OL kill and scouts great's main. There is an evo coming there now.
Great has yet another hatch coming, at bottom left. Ryan scouts great's 3rd with his sair, but he doesn't see the 4th!

Ryan now going for a 4th at 9, if he can hold it he will be back in the macro game. Drop at 7 to finish main hatch.....reaver! BOOM! One scarab and it goes down.
Ryan's army is now very goon-heavy, he is harassing with that reaver at 7 still....ah, shuttle taken out by hydra.
great trying to prevent Ryan's 4th with a few lings, Ryan is forced to head over and clean it up with his main army.

Swarm and lurks take out 11 nat, meanwhile Ryan snipes the main nat at 7! He needs to do something about all the drones there, though. great has taken 6 again.

I think great's late game control is really bad. Many times I see the game going into hive tech and he just can't control his army all that well. And end up losing a lot of units carelessly.
That said, his advantage of sangho is so big in this game it didn't matter.

I think great played Harmony perfectly - really abusing the extreme distance between the Protoss main and potential Zerg expansions. SangHo scouted the early third before great even began pumping hydras, and yet he still was unable to take it out. I think SangHo would have had a better shot if he had gone for some sair-reaver harass rather than wait for zealots and speed, but of course his later timing might have been much more effective if great hadn't pulled off that tricky burrow and shuttle snipe.
Anyway, you can watch this game and see why Harmony is tough for PvZ, but the better player won here.

I meant his large army control in the late game. Rather than just his multi-tasking ability or game sense. Yes, he pretty much countered the sair/reaver perfectly and delayed harassment until the economic disparity was way too large for Sangho to overcome.
Anyway, hyvaa better win this. I mean, how would you feel to be beaten by someone who calls himself cuteangel?

FrOzean is early on his gas....mechanic here we come! Looks like hyvaa has gone overpool? He has a hatch down at his nat, but I'm not sure how early it was. He has 6 lings out now, but keeps them outside his nat - AH, this is a counter to the 8rax -> mech trend we are seeing lately. hyvaa did not want to have to pull drones to counter the bunker rush. He is now really pursuing FrOzean's SCV scout.
FrOzean places factory and takes off gas.

It looks like hyvaa is totally prepared for playing against mech here. FrOzean has started his cc inside his main and has added a shop and 2nd factory.

Den coming at hyvaa's nat, a floating rax sees all - but not the lair morphing at hyvaa's third hatch, offset inside his main.
hyvaa has a decent group of lings at the Terran nat now....picking off some SCVs and vultures here and there. FrOzean defends.

FrOzean's armory is up and his first tank is out. Awwwww, cute - it's FBH and January on the KHAN bench.
FrOzean producing gols now and adding 2 more factories. hyvaa adds a spire. All standard (isn't it funny how mech is now standard?). FrOzean loses his rax outside hyvaa's nat, hyvaa adds chamber.
Somehow a ling gets into FrOzean's main and sees the 5fac...a pretty careless mistake from cuteangel to allow it in. hyvaa will now be prepared for this timing.

Can't get any streams to come up. What is the best app to open Doso's .m3u stream in? I tried WMP but it went through like some playlist items (1, 1, 2, 3, 1, 1, etc.) and then finally after a few minutes failed and threw an error.

hyvaa making mutas now, takes his third at top left. A few mines are out, but FrOzean has not yet researched speed for his vults.
I love mech just because spider mines are so entertaining ^^ FrOzean has gols in his main, seems like he will be ready for the mutas cruising south.

I think a major concern is vulture harass...it's tough to defend the drones at a third if all you have is slow hydras. But I do agree that zergs should be playing greedier vs. these metal builds.

mutas are in FrOzean's main, but FrOzean has enough turrets there to drive them off. He's now advancing up the map towards hyvaa's third! Pivotal battle!!!
hyvaa has the upper ground and goes in with hydra and muta....nice flank...but FrOzean holds. Metal is so, so fucking tough to break.
hyvaa is rallying reinforcements, he may be able to wear this army down before it reaches his third.

FrOzean now has a nice position with sieged tanks over hyvaa's third. Hyvaa is throwing hydras at him but cannot break this ball. please someone find a solution to this mech build.
Doesn't much help that hyvaa's reinforcements are making zergblood soup with the mines in the middle of the map.

lol, drone hiding in minerals at 3. FrOzean looks about read to roll out with another mech ball, this time he's smart and mines up his nat before leaving. He's finally finished remaking his nat CC - that definitely hurts when you're on 2base!
hyvaa has his 3rd up and running with good saturation, but he needs to be thinking about a fourth pretty soon.

FrOzean taking advantage of Chupung's cliffs with his tanks, hyvaa is so far engaging in some nice guerrilla tactics to stall the push.
HERE COMES HYVAA, DMATRIX, MOVING HYDRA INTO TANKS LIKE ZEALOTS......
Frozean holds, but just barely! He only has a few tanks left, and hyvaa can replenish his army easily! Hyvaa taking hive now....this game is totally in his control.

FrOzean now finally taking a 3rd at 9. That CC snipe really set him back - his push was delayed just long enough for hyvaa to stop it. Looks like FrOzean will hold his 3rd with tanks and mines all over the place, hyvaa is now countering into the nat with a few lings.

Up's 2nd factory is under construction, Stork's robo comes on...and, he had one other building coming that I missed.
Up's working on his eBay now. This looks eerily standard...

Obs cruises into Up's main, sees the factories. Stork had some goons in his main watching for a drop, but now pulls them out to prepare to protect his nat. Here comes Up, pushing with speedy vultures, turrets, and tanks! He also has an armory spinning.
Up's vultures get caught by many goons in the middle of the map, his push is not looking good right now.

Up's contain is weak, he must abandon it to defend his main from this reaver. He has lost SO many SCVs.
Vults finally kill reaver but that was a death blow. Stork's nat is up and Up has 4 or 5 SCVs.

I'm not sure upmagic was ever ahead. It was a chaotic situation to say the least, but when upmagic killed stork's expansion and set up a contain, Stork took out out a lot of stuff in upmagic's base. So it was basically 1 base toss vs 2/3 base terran. And the observer was constantly pointing out that upmagic was NOT mining gas after Stork's harass. Basically he was all in there.
But damn, Stork not even flinching when the tanks were seiging near his gateways. His PvT is insane.

lol, it was good decision by stork to exchange nat for SCVs. Since Up's base was defenceless when he committed to the push. Upmagic lost 2/3 of his SCV and stork lost only 1 nexus. Other toss would have lost here but stork force Up to lost more than gain.

he didn't wall for a reason, there's no way a pro forgets to wall on a map where he practiced hundreds of games on. perhaps he wanted to gain a bit of advantage by not exposing his first buildings to the higher ground early PvT unit harass on colo? oftentimes T has to use a lot of SCV and repair to keep their wall alive
