MECH IS LAME.

TvZ is Starcraft's glamor matchup because its such a fast paced, and on a knife edge type of matchup. Lurker/ling flanks, scourge cloning, defiler use vs mnm splitting, multiple attacks everywhere, irradiating.

Whereas Mech is boring to watch and requires way less skill. Its basically attack move and easy macro (compared to microing mnm and pumping off 10+ barracks).

As much as I hate Terran, at least win with skill rather than this mech bullshit. You've already got an advantage over Zerg -.-

I'm not sure promise is really what maGma is going for at this point in his career. He's 5 years older than Flash and will (presumably?) be headed to the military within the next year or two.

In previous games I've seen JD play against mech he went for a more economic/mid game build with 3-4 bases. Vs canata he tried a 2 base all in hydra attack before siege (i think) and barely got thwarted by 1 bad mine (6 hydras?). Canata played very passive, so JD had time to come back, but he was still making up for a bad opener.

I think mech should always be used against jaedong/july/luxury/zero/ggplay since their micro and aggression is so strong, mech when it works, takes away alot of the micro and multi-tasking/multi-attacking situations that the best zerg thrive on.

I feel like zergs are quickly coming up while terrans aren't. If flash can use mech and stay on top, god bless him!

Agreed - especially with JD's recent rapeage of Terrans going standard mnm, I foresee lots of shiny metal in his future.

Zergs need to stop with the queen BS and use defilers. A lot.
Plague, from my experience, against mech is devastating. Dark swarm will nullify goliaths and vultures very well.

Jaedong did use a fair bit of swarm but it backfired on him nearly as often as it worked. Running hydras into a swarm only to find there are mines that you now can't kill before they blow isn't exactly fun.

What is it with going lurkers vs mech on Destination? Though I personally like the two hatch timing attack versus mech. By the time you have 10-12 mutas out the terran should only have about 7-8 goliaths and you can go for a break/kill his nat/delay his nat/do A LOT of damage early on while taking your third. You're definitely screwed if you mess up though.

There are 3 terrans who are so good at mnm play they won't ever go mech often.

Those guys have such good micro and aggression that using mech would limit there skill. I do believe mech has a skill cap while bionic play doesn't imo.

Just as a disclaimer, I dont think mech is imba

However, it is extremely frustrating, that the vulture is basically an air unit when it comes to zerglings - it simply cannot be killed by them with modern day patrol micro and it slaughters them so fast its not like it can just be ignored while you go for the SCV.

This allows Terran to bunker rush (even with proxy rax!) far too often without caring whether or not it succeeds becuase you can no longer simply counter with zerglings to punish them for the poorly executed rush, 1 vulture will simply rape your lings and you are now WAY behind instead of just slightly so.
