Predictions: + Show Spoiler +JangBi < GoRush: I believe this is GoRush's first appearance in this season's proleague, so it will be interesting to see how he is playing. JangBi was recently smashed against ZerO in KHAN's match versus Hanbit, hopefully GoRush can achieve similar results. oDin < Midas: I love Midas! He was sent out as T1's Ace versus CJ, which was a surprise to...many, because of his reputation for coming up short in pivotal matches. He performed very well and took home the win for T1 against Iris, a formidable vT opponent. Hopefully he'll be ridin' high this week, and we'll see a resurgence of his former skill. Juni/TT < Rumble/Bisu: Yup, T1 sweep! I can dream, right? Not really sure how this game will play out, but I'm hoping for T1...I believe Rumble did well in his OSL group, and Bisu is Bisu, so! ... T1 fighting!!
Results: + Show Spoiler +JangBi > GoRush oDin < MIDAS!!!!!!!!!!Juni/TT > Rumble/Bisu Stork > Canata KHAN 3:1

besides the fact that its the 27th of april, yea its fine

If this goes to an Ace, Bisu better damn well win it.
Anyway, I don't see Canata winning his game, so SKT better be prepared with an Ace, since I feel one other in KHAN will win, probably Odin.

erm, oh, right...korean time!
my bad!

oh god GoRush getting gayed by Zealots
GoRush is being ridiculously sloppy with those mutas.
GoRush begins expanding to the top left position of the map. A dark templar makes it through his second expansion toward the natural, but it's picked off by a sunken colony with overlord support. Large group of zealots moving toward the center of the map with corsairs, they're met by an even bigger group of hydralisks/overlords. They go back and forth a few times, but as high templars join JangBi's army, GoRush moves back.
JangBi attempts to expand to the bottom right position, but a single lurker from GoRush spots the move and burrows. It attacks the pylons that have already warped in, though JangBi has already sent an observer and zealots to remove the threat. Two large armies form up once again at the middle of the map, and JangBi manages to sneak a dark templar into GoRush's main. Two or three drones are killed, along with some lings, before it's hunted down.
I tune in to see Jangbi's forces tearing through GoRush's mineral only and now moving down into GoRush's expansion as GoRush ggs.
gorush lands on too many storm. gg'd

Huge engagement in the center of the map, psi storms are ripping through everything... Dragoons/zealots/high templar looking to overpower GoRush's hydralisk/lurker/ling army. GoRush seems to be taking heavy losses, and JangBi is able to get a sizable force up to the northern expansion and destroy the hatchery that was built there.
Meanwhile, JangBi attempts to harass some more overlords with a group of corsairs, but they're intercepted by scourge and destroyed.

Hahaha...pjwin I think you're a little bit behind on your stream .

3:0 could very possibly be incoming for SKT

jangbi had like a 40 kill archon or something

I wonder how many people are actually going to watch Odin vs. Midas when Hwasin vs. Jaedong is going to be on at the same time.
How are you all watching MBC when GoM doesn't broadcast? I searched but could only find a thread about the change but not any new program to use =(

i was going to say, wtf was that obvious dropship?? 1 cookie medal for Midas.
that wasn't looking too good, for awhile...+ Show Spoiler +but midas did a good job holding off those mass lurkers while he denied odin's expansions with m&m groups.
Well there you go, Midas carries the day after all.

Game is starting!
Map is Hunters.
Juni is Teal Zerg at 9. TT is Red Protoss at 4. Rumble is White Zerg at 6. Bisu is Brown Protoss at 12.
Bisu builds his Pylon in his base and TT builds his Pylon out at his choke, along with his Gateway.
Both Zergs are going Pool first, as expected on this map. Both scouted counterclockwise with their Overlords, which means they'll find an enemy base on their second try.
Two Gates for TT at his choke, same for Bisu but in his main.
Zerglings hatch for Juni and he stops harvesting gas in response. Zerglings and Zealot are moving in towards Rumble's base but he produces a sufficient amount of Zerglings to force a temporary retreat.
In addition, both Protoss players have gotten 3 Gates and Bisu's Zealot numbers are not to be discounted.
Juni gets a nice surround on Bisu's Zealots and takes all three of them out, but then loses his remaining Zerglings to Rumble's Zerglings.
Both Zergs get their second Hatcheries.
Rumble nicely manages to sneak Zerglings in past TT's Gateways and takes out the Pylon that's powering the Gateways. TT places two Gateways there now to defend against that and sends his Zealots in for a counterattack on Rumble's base. However, Bisu's two Zealots, Rumble's remaining Zerglings, and a Sunken Colony are sufficient for defending against the attack. Rumble is holding position outside of Rumble's base.
Bisu's Zealots are running rampant in the middle of the map, and Juni takes the opportunity to send his Zerglings in an attack on Bisu's base, but he's forced to retreat without doing much damage.
Midas is becoming a proleague monster. He's 3-1 right now.
I think that SKT1 is going to climb the ladder this season, proving haji wrong.
TT puts up his 4th Gateway, but the momentary setback has allowed Bisu to amass a large Zealot force. However, the combined forces of TT and Juni can't do anything about it. However, Rumble breaks out of the contain on his base with a nicely executed Drone drill, but TT's Shield Battery allows his Zealots to live slightly longer than they would have otherwise.
Juni is setting up another Zergling contain outside of Rumble's base though, in the combined choke that leads towards the center. There's a Zergling stalemate outside of Rumble's base and a Zealots stalemate outside of Bisu's base.
Bisu is also getting his 4th Gateway now.
TT starts up another Shield Battery contain outside of Bisu's base with one of the nicest looking Zealot lines I've seen. Bisu is unable to do anything about the horde of Zealots outside his base.
Rumble sneaks two Zerglings into Rumble's base but they're dispatched before they can do anything.
TT built a Forge in his base and is now adding Cannons to fortify his contain on Bisu! Bisu has a ridiculous number of Zealots, but without the reinforcement from Rumble's Zerglings, they will be unable to do much.
TT blocks off the contain with a Gateway! Very nice.
i have no idea what the skt team is doing.
Juni and TT's infiniti Zerglings and Zealots start making a move on Rumble's base and wreak havoc there, while Bisu fails at breaking out of the contain with his Zealot force. This game is all but over right now. SKT ggs.

What did you expect them to do?

This 2v2 is like the first one to get upgrades wins. Or the first one to tech wins. Complete standoff. Very interesting.
Teching is discouraged in Hunters 2v2 because then you get overrun by units while you tech. You need to constantly produce units to defend with.
It's a matter of whoever gets control of middle wins, thanks to the abundant chokepoints on the map.

I don't understand why neither team gets any gas (aside from getting just enough for ling speed). I mean... cant you wall, or semi-wall off to keep from getting overrun while teching is done?

oh i meant like i couldnt tell what theyre doing cus of laggy stream

Needs moar workers on moar minerals for moar units.
But seriously, +1 Carapace on Zerglings is only really gotten as a counter to +1 Weapons for Zealots. Since Protoss have no need to get gas at all in Hunters 2v2, it's unlikely they'd get +1 Weapons at all. +1 Melee for Zerglings may help though, just due to the sheer number of them.

Yea, I'm watching on YY, so I'm hella delayed on those types of posts. If one considered cannons teching, they did tech, hence why Samsung's toss was able to cannon in Bisu. I will concede that map control played a significant way in how that game were played though.

ok sorry to ask this but how do i change between the 2 matches on Daum? I got to see STX vs Hanbit but i cant find khan vs skt :S

Loads of pressure on Canata now.

Game is starting.
Map is Colosseum.
Stork is red Protoss at 4. Canata is purple Terran at 11.
Canata interestingly makes his Refinery before his Barracks. The Refinery is almost completed before the Barracks even starts. It won't matter, it turns out, as Stork went 14 Nexus.
Canata walls off his choke with a Barracks/Supply. Other than the strangely early Refinery, the build order seems to be pretty traditional - he's going 2Factory (the commentators are yelling 3Fac but their cries are ignored). I guess the 2Fac will be faster now due to the increased gas.
Stork decides to get 2 Gateways before teching. He's getting Dragoon Range as we speak. Both of Canata's Factories have a Machine Shop. It looks like he researched Siege Mode first and is going straight Tanks right now. Interesting build choice.
4 Tanks, 1 Marine, maybe about 12 SCVs, from what I can see.
Canata has siege mode.
I feel an epic battle about to ensue.
5 Tanks, 2 Vultures, 1 Marine + SCVs.
Vultures have mines, too.
Stork putting down nexus!!
NO DAUM. BAD TIME FOR LAG. BAD, BAD TIME.
Canata going for the Pylon supporting Stork's 2 gates.
Stork has 7 Goons in Canata's base. Aiming to counter. He's not focusing any particular building. Canata lifts off Factories.
Reaver takes out of the Canata's offensive Tanks.
Another upgrade is spinning in the Machine Shop.
Canata is bringing his SCVs with his many tanks in for a committed attack! Stork's standing army is WAY too small to defend this! Two Vultures are out as well!
Stork expands AGAIN, and his army melts under Siege Tank fire. He's forced to cancel his expansion as Canata moves in and manages to take the high ground from Stork!
The Vulture mines are going out to prevent Stork from defending. Stork moves out with his army but is a bit too hesitant.
Canata even making a Turret to defend against possible Shuttle harass. His Mines are out fast enough that he can adequately defend, and Canata's army will definitely take down Stork's base faster than Stork can take down Canata's army.
Stork is frantically adding Gates in an effort to defend, but his mining has been halted by Probes.
Canata lifts up all of his buildings and runs his SCVs down in an effort to help defend. Stork's Reaver micro is impeccable right now, and Canata senda all of his remaining SCVs down to help attack.
canata should gg reason: failure to defend his own main.
Stork's Reavers manage to defend against Canata's weird allin strategy and Canata ggs out.
Stork has 2 Reavers. Canata GGs.
KHAN wins 3-1.
Stork smiling like a bride on her honeymoon.
that was a good match to watch in the fact that it was a bunch of korean commentators going crazy.
poor Canata.. just looking at his screen
now canata staring at the score screen. OOV gives the lecture.
now 2 hours of wait till TG Sambo
Stork looks like a guy who just barely made it to a toilet in time.
OMG.
Just realised in retrospect that Daum didn't keep buffering.

that was a very good game from stork
it really showed his S-class PvT, ability to adapt to whatever the T throws at him.
Yea, I concur. That was really S-class PvT. That reaver was ridiculous and stork's reaction and timing were unbelievable.
The game was decided by Canata being 2 seconds late in defending his main with mines. Amazingly intense, god I've missed progaming.
well atleast Midas won :D but dammit it would have been great if SKT1 won...
ah I want to see that vod of Stork!
go Khan <3
What an incredible response to the all-in from Canata. Gives me warm feelings about Stork's performance in the upcoming OSL!
