Can't wait Hwasin vs Jaedong. Other matches are not bad either. Go STX!
both matches sounds so exciting i dunno which one to watch!
Game resumed! I guess they fixed the problem.
Anyway, the game has started. Both players send their scouts to the bases directly north of them, and as a result, they don't see each other. Anytime goes for a single Gateway followed by an Assimilator. Kal seems to have gone for a 12 Pylon in his base but he is getting an Assimilator as well. Kal's Zealot passes Anytime's and turns around to help defend.
You said yellow, not hwasin in your spoiler.
Anytime's Zealot is in Kal's mineral line but doesn't manage to kill any Probes. It's still running around Kal's base but some nice Probe micro allows Kal to minimize damage. Anytime has taken down one Probe and he's currently getting a second Gateway in his base with Dragoon range spinning in his Core. Kal is doing the same.
Kal manages to take out one of Anytime's Probes before his Zealot falls to Dragoon fire.
Both players have two Dragoons out and are positioning them at their choke for defense purposes. Both players are expanding to their safe expansions right now almost at the same time. Right now the builds are almost identical, and the damage done to both players is almost identical as well. However, Anytime has a Probe being sent to scout and it spies Kal's scouting Probe going out. Anytime sees Kal's expansion going up.
Anytime's expansion is finished and he's maynarded his Probes over. Both players have gotten a Robotics Facility, but Anytime has opted to get his Robotics Support Bay and Kal's gotten his Observatory first. Anytime places a Pylon to the west of his expansion in an effort to scout a Shuttle slightly before he would otherwise be able to.
Anytime has an Observer out in Kal's base and scouts the Observatory tech. Kal's getting his own Robotics Support and Anytime's Observer dies as Kal's own Observer pops. Kal makes a 3rd Gateway and Anytime's first Reaver has been built.
Anytime going up to 4 Gateways.
WILL WATCH HWASIN VS JAEDONG
Kal's Observer sees Anytime's expansion and he goes up to 4 Gates as well. He has strangely opted to get his Shuttle before his Reaver.
A second Reaver out for Anytime before a Shuttle. Kal's Observer is currently chilling over Anytime's army. Kal's starting to move out, and the sound of something being loaded into his Shuttle is heard, but we were unable to see it.
Anytime's scouting Probe may have been able to see the Shuttle moving out and Anytime repositions his forces in an effort to react. His Shuttle is out and his Reaver is loaded. Both players are taking their 3rd and Anytime is currently in the center with his army. He manages to take out the Shuttle that housed Kal's Reavers but loses his own Reaver to poor control. He ends up behind on this battle due to Kal's superior Dragoon numbers and is forced to retreat.
Anytime adds more Gateways to his base and has since replenished his Dragoon numbers. Kal follows suit, and both players maynard their Probes to their 3rd base. Kal loads a Reaver in a Shuttle and brings it down towards Anytime's expansion. Anytime loses a good number of Probes to two scarabs.
Templar Archives is going up for Kal, but there is no sign of an Archives going up for Anytime.
Both players are sniping the other's respective Observers. Meanwhile, Anytime's army is moving about in the middle of the map, while Kal's sits on the high ground defending his base.
Another battle ensues, but Anytime loses the Shuttle that was transporting his Reavers, but manages to take out both of Kal's Reavers in return! However, he's forced to retreat as reinforcements from Kal's nearby base come out.
Anytime's forces get caught behind one of his slow moving Reavers. Haha.
Kal's rallying his forces to the high ground in an effort to defend his base, and Anytime's gotten a Templar Archives.
From the looks of it, it looks like Anytime's current standing army is larger, but he's not mining from his second gas like Kal is. High Templars are out for Kal and he loads one of them into his shuttle. In addition, Kal expands to one of the 11 o'clock bases but one of Anytime's Observers sees it.
Anytime has since added two Archons and a number of High Templar to his army, but Kal spots it with a Probe and responds by making Archons of his own.
Anytime commits his forces in to Kal's base for an attack, but he loses due to superior storms and a low ground disadvantage.
anytime keeps attacking uphill and losing, despite having a bigger army.
Anytime has a single Zealot attempting to delay the 11 o'clock expansion but Kal sends his forces up there and prevents it. Kal's forces catch Anytime's in the middle of the map and manage to pick off one or two stray units before Anytime retreats.
Anytime is expanding to the 3 o'clock mineral only (I think it's a minonly, I don't know this map).
Upgrade status! Anytime: 0-0-1 Kal: 0-0-1
Both players are taking the expansions on their respective sides of the map and have their current patrolling armies moving about the center axis in an effort to defend their acquisitions. Kal sends a few Zealots to scout for expansions and meanwhile expands again to the 9 o'clock mineral only. Anytime is expanding to one of the 1 o'clock multi expansions.
Anytime has quite a sizeable army of Dragoons/Zeal/Archon/Temp moving around. Both of the armies clash in the middle. Storms go off on both size, but Anytime's Archons are caught perilously behind his units and he gets Stormed to death. Anytime ggs as he loses his army.
kal looks REALLY HAPPY with that win lol. I guess being destroyed by mind didn't help his confidence much.
gj kal now waiting hwasin and jd

HwasinS tvz is amazing I m hoping for a good game
Game has started.
Map is Wuthering Heights.
Hwasin is yellow Terran at 11. Jaedong is orange Zerg at 1.
sorry for noob question. how can i watch this with yaoyuan? its airing midas vs odin for me
jaedong needs that win to regain confidence sorry hwasin
sharT click on OGN tvants
Whoa did anyone see that pencil hwasin drawing?? It was incredibly good.
Yeah I saw it...if it was done on the spot it's incredible.
Jaedong sends his Overlord in the wrong direction and 12 Hatches at his expansion. Hwasin doesn't do anything funny and goes Supply -> Barracks at his choke.
Jaedong is sending a Drone over towards Hwasin to scout.
Some nice drone harrass by Jaedong.
Jaedong attempts to harass the building SCV but the Barracks finishes before the SCV dies.
Jaedong puts up his pool and his second 3rd Hatchery and maynards his Drones to his expansion with perfect timing.
Hwasin uses his harassed SCV to scout but it's chased out of Jaedong's base by Zerglings.
Hwasin builds his Barracks and immediately expands, building a Bunker to defend against the initial 6 Zerglings.

Jaedong morphs his natural Hatchery into a Lair and is getting the geyser there as well. The scouting SCV is denied an attempt into Jaedong's base yet again by well-placed Zerglings.
Meanwhile we have not seen Hwasin's base in quite awhile, so it's hard to determine what he's doing.
Jaedong's getting a Spire up and Hwasin's getting his Engineering Bay and a second Barracks. He has a moderately sized M&M force stationed at his choke. Jaedong Sunkens up his natural expo.
Hwasin gets a 3rd Barracks.
Spire is finished for Jaedong and Mutalisks are morphing for him. He sends a Drone down to the 4 o'clock main and expands there. Engineering Bay is finished for Hwasin but no turrets are going up just yet. Mutalisks have popped for Jaedong and they move out immediately.
Hwasin puts up his Turrets and moves his M&M force back into his base to defend against the Mutalisks. Very nice Mutalisk micro starts picking off at M&M.
Hydralisk den is up for Jaedong and he's getting an Evolution Chamber as well. His expansion at 5 is finished and he immediately gets the Extractor there as well, while bring up his Queen's Nest. Nice FPView of Jaedong's Mutalisk control.
Hwasin, however, is doing an excellent job of mitigating Mutalisk harass with as few Turrets as he deems necessary. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be enough as Jaedong's Mutalisks are hungry for SCV blood and the undefended mineral line is easy pickings.
Lurkers are morphing for Jaedong as view shifts back to the observer.
Hwasin adds two Tanks to his army and is currently producing a Vessel from his Starport. Jaedong is prepared and adds two Scourge to his Mutalisk cloud so he can snipe a Vessel more easily. However, a small lapse in control causes Jaedong to lose a few Mutalisks.
Lurkers outside of Hwasin's base delay the advance for a little bit but Hwasin's Tanks and single Vessel are enough to easily avert any major damage from the Lurkers. Two of fhe Lurkers fall and Hwasin sieges up outside of Jaedong's natural.
Jaedong has a sufficient number of Lurkers to defend this attack off, I think, provided he controls them well.
The Sunkens fall for Jaedong but he moves in with a very nicely placed flank. A Defiler is out for Jaedong but it doesn't manage to place down Swarms (Consume not researched yet?) The flank manages to take out Hwasin's army outside of Jaedong's base, but Hwasin has amassed an even larger army in the meantime.
Both armies are moving about in the center of the map, Jaedong's Lurkers preventing easy movement of M&M around the map. Hwasin has stopped building tanks and has transitioned smoothly into a perfect M&M only battle.A nice swarm goes up over Hwasin's army but he retreats out of it quickly while expanding to one of the unsafe middle expansions.
Well, this is tvz at its finest.
On April 27 2008 15:00 Bazse wrote: Well, this is tvz at its finest.
Agreed.
Jaedong's first-person view shows excellent control as always, and affirms that he knows about Hwasin's expansion attempt. He sends a few Lurkers down to stop it but they are stopped by the M&M force that Hwasin sends down to counter the Lurkers.
Hwasin simultaneously sends his army at Jaedong's nat, but the small choke is easily defended by just two swarms.
Jaedong chooses to expand to the 4 o'clock natural as well, and he manages to take out Hwasin's Vessels with some Scourge - a nice bonus. Hwasin moves down to counter Jaedong's new expansion and kills it switfly - then retreats.
Jaedong attempts to take the 4 o'clock expansion, but Hwasin runs past it and moves down into the 4 4 o'clock main. However, he's forced to divert his attention temporarily due to the Nydus Canal that's defending the main down there. An excellent Plague goes off on Hwasin's forces and the Lurkers rip through them in half a second.
Plague and lurker equals wonderful.
Hwasin has started to add a very large number of Tanks to his army now, and Jaedong is prevented from being able to get a good swarm over them due to the M&M wall in front of them.
Hwasin expands down the 7 o'clock main. A nice swarm finally goes on over the tanks, and Lurkers are even being sent down to 7 o'clock. However, Hwasin is simultaneously tearing through 4 main and 4 expansion. If he successfully takes both of them down, he will be ahead in bases.
Has jaedong started the ultra tech? It is already quite late and he has 4 gas, maybe i missed it.
Nvm, he HAD 4 gas, now he has 2, probably 1 depleted already. Nydus down, it will be very hard for JD from here. Eraser! Hatchery down.
The Lurkers have prevented 7 from going up, but Jaedong also is losing a large number of forces in his effort to defend the 4 o'clock main. Very nice control by Hwasin takes out all the defending forces and Hwasin even does an eraser on top of the Drones that are there. Jaedong sends some forces down to clear the army at 4 but it's too late as the Hatchery is taken down.
Meanwhile, the Lurkers at 7 have been cleared and Hwasin is once again attempting to expand there. While he has no more army at 4 and Jaedong is expanding there again, it won't matter.
Hwasin DMatrixes a Dropship and drops a group of M&M behind Jaedong's hive! The Drones are forced to run, but the Hive is safe thanks to a Defiler.
Hwasin's Vessel cloud is huge right now, and 4 is taken out yet again.
Jaedong has expanded to the 3 o'clock unsafe middle expansion, but his attack on Hwasin's expansion is taken out before a Swarm can go down.
Hwasin redirects his drop over to Jaedong's main and takes out the Spawning Pool, and sends his forces down at the 3 expansion. The drop is finally cleared, and Jaedong attempts to expand to the 12 middle expansion. It's currently 4 base Terran to 2 base Zerg - it looks like Jaedong doesn't stand much of a chance.
Oh, my stream lagged out and Jaedong gg'd. Hwasin is victorious.
Jaedong has needed ultras for a while now, but with that little gas I don't like his chances.
Edit. Excellent, Jaedong loses. Hooray for Hwasin.
I knew HwaSin would deliver ^_^
HELL YEAH HWASIN THAT WAS AWESOME STX SOUL <3

He played that game very well... sexy.

Jaedong played as he usually does I think. Hwasin was just very impressive. Very nice aggression.
He played alrite but in the beginning he had alot of stray units.
ouch. that commercial about how former champions, casy, savior, and jaedong now all need to go through pc bang quals for the osl hit a little too close for me.

Maybe i miss something, but isn't classic zvt means fast expand, keep going for terran expansions while expand yourself? Or isn't classic starcraft means this? :D

JD looks like someone who just lost a starleague for 3-2. I'm a little bit worried about him.

Hwasin played that game like a champ. Jaedong played like he never needs to F10+E+S. Seriously, he probably had less than 20 psi by the end of the game. Nice game.

STX can very likely take this game too, mnm not doing anything in the beginning is not a good sign.

Storms tear apart the final remnants of T's MnM army.
Lecaf Zerg lost their Spire, too.
Final nails in the coffin.
