Isnt that almost like knowing inside info about progamers and using it for profit ? = illegal ? interesting shit.
Also this just made me question those retarded loses in the past by him playing so dumb are those past challenges for viewers ?

Classic Mini. Playing with chaos.

See you all next week for Group D a.k.a. death

Mini is great at free form instinctual games. He is able to keep up with everything that happens and direct the flow of the game towarda a desired outcome. SoMa however also thrives on such game states. Ssak though, thrives in standard. Ssak is also his own worst enemy because he himself tries to steer the game away from standard, even though he thrives in standard.... Ssak is his own worst enemy.

Mini has to be trolling with the upgrades in the last match lmao, if he lost to ssak cuz of that it would have been so embarrassing.

I was joking ofc they can't bring bets or challenges from their stream to an offline tournament lol. It's probably seen as matchfixing. Although hypothetically speaking, if someone is to matchfix at ASL, Mini would be a good candidate to do it because people would look at his decision making and just think "this guy is just being crazy as usual".

From Mini's looks he knew that was really suboptimal play and either Light / RoyaL / Rush / Sharp would have brought that to their victory.

Soma got insaneeeeee worth from that high ground and double bridge outside Mini's nat. What a garbage map. You're either all in or forced to play for securing your 3rd early in PvZ. Only other option is a ninja expo, which might work once.
I won't be too surprised if a Zerg has enough balls to place a hatchery there this ASL, that'd be hilarious.

The ditch outside the natural was clearly designed to test out anti 3h hydra tech to help p in pvz, but with the way the rest of the exit is structured, with how narrow it is, it's just 2 high grounds in a row they have to fight over (or a high ground and a double bridge) to get out of a lurker contain. I've seen a couple pvzs on this map in proleague/kcm and am already getting worried that p are going to struggle there.

It might be a map where Ps experiment with cair/reaver/speed zeal openings a bit more. The tight spaces will be good for reavers and you can’t dodge a scarab like you can storm (that’s not to say Storm won’t be added later in the game).
I liked Mini’s double cair opening yesterday given Soma’s muta love in ZvP but the transition into zeal/HT was grim for mini. Soma easily dodged the two initial storms and stomped the remaining zeals. Two reavers instead of HTs would’ve been a lot more useful in that spot and it’d be much easier to secure that third exp and high ground.
He was on the back foot from then. Shows you how far ahead Soma was that he lost every drone in his main and still won relatively comfortably.

I've seen a couple pvzs on this map in proleague/kcm and am already getting worried that p are going to struggle there. That ditch also allows T to Rax expand in TvP easily, and from the economic boost from that, plus how the area outside the natural is structured, allows T to place a CC on site at 9th minute (like what you saw from Stork vs Ample). PvT on this map is far worse than PvZ.
Turns out that all the good will from the design of that ditch (supposedly to help P from Hydra bust) is undone by the design of the exit, and fucks P even further in the other matchup. Not to mention in PvP we'll likely have stalemate games because no one is crazy enough to attack into that entrance.

TMNT , how come are you crying about a starcraft map ? Never happened before, i'm kind of worried.

Man, Tastosis' "commentary" is insufferable.

I super enjoy the Korean cast. You get the inflections and excitement and crowd noise and everything, but can focus on the game because you can't understand what they're saying. I don't feel like I'm missing anything that I need, even if I am missing things. It's honestly perfect. I get why people rock the English cast, but I don't see any point xD GOOD FOR NOOBS I GUESS LOL

I just wish Tastosis would focus a bit more on the games at hand. I really respect Artosis' knowledge about the history, strategies, current meta etc, but it feels like a) Tasteless drags him down and b) he's a bit full of himself and sets wrong priorities in his commentary (and he's an awful observer). XUN is annoying as well, but at least he and Saiyan focus more on the action happening. Might actually switch back to Korean commentary like you suggest, but I wish there would be some English commentary more to my tastes.

Yeah I agree. I also like Artosis. I like Xun too. Tasteless is super rough these days. I think it was the group C one that was extra bad. Tasteless telling random long stories and bad jokes over Mini vs soma. Dude just can't stfu LOL Ah man, I still only go at like 10% power when I shit on Tasteless. I really don't want to do it at all, but he's a big target these days.
|
I do Korea cast live then Tastosis on rewatch. I don't mind the banter at all if I've already seen the game, and always appreciate Artosis giving insights even if he isn't perfect. XUN doesn't really understand what he's watching it feels like, but unlike Tasteless he doesn't probe or ask questions where Tasteless does a good job at getting Artosis to flesh things out more.

They can help carry mediocre games or if you're only an extremely casual fan, but if you want high level insight or actual commentary on the game, look elsewhere.
