Isn't the reason apparent: 2 Cannons is standard vs 9 Pool. 1 Cannon is kinda middle of the road, you can't apply pressure but at the same time is not totally safe. Might as well go for Gate expand instead. There's a reason the greatest PvZ players (Bisu, Mini) almost always go for Gate instead of Forge expand. That's what I find unfair about this match-up. As a Protoss in PvZ, playing safe doesn't win you the game unless Zerg fucks up his macro by himself. | ||

It didn't work out for him though. | ||
