Excited for this one. I expect Soma to play 2 and a half hatch (third hatch in main). Use heavy ling and mutas to kill first army while he takes his third into standard defiler play.

Really well done by JyJ his vessels will be so much faster. Smart of him to not commit on the map. Read his build correctly. It was pretty crazy that Soma defended his natural with just 1 sunken against that build though. Slight edge to Soma in my opinion. His third expansion was faster than you'd expect. Anyone's game though.

I actually think JyJ has done as well as he could possibly do. He's certainly not sure to win but he's put himself in a good spot. Saved all those vessels despite the plagues.

I think specifically for this map its very difficult to defend a third against a high rax opening like 4 rax tech or even more so against 5 rax. So I think it's just map based. But there is a trend for sure against opening quick 3rd for zergs. I think terrans are not opening mech or 1/1/1 as much anymore. The meta shift makes zergs more open to early bio plays.
