Exactly as Mr. Silver said. To participate you need to donate 100$ to the prizepool of the RCG 2020. (By doing that you are increasing chance for RCG 2021. )

Last rcg was the same and our regular wildcard qualifiers this year were the same! Also many fans supported their favorite players by donating the entry free + Show Spoiler +
for ex. I donated for Madinho who did not qualify unfortunately.
I see nothing bad in it, players support the rcg prizepool and thus rcg 2021. In a perfect world big sponsors would throw money at our esport and there would be no entry fee.
But there are none, Brain supports this as a private person from his private pocket, so i see no moral issue here.

Surely it is less exciting now when this is online and stacked with top foreign players, so no wonder not many people want to participate.
I agree. However it's still tournament with big prize pool and it will be broadcasted by many language streamers, so even qualifying to RO16 might get you a lot of fans and satisfaction
